5.0 out of 5 stars The Song At The Mall
I, too wanted to know what that beautiful background song was at the Mall, lol. It's called 'Tears From The Moon' and it's on this CD, so if you want that particular version of that song, you're in luck!:)

1.0 out of 5 stars What a Disappointment - Not as good as the Original
I was very disappointed with this new soundtrack. The original Tomb Raider soundtrack had a lot of great techno. Instead, this album is full of pop/rock. If you love top 40, then you'll love this album. If you want something more edgy, don't buy this CD...You'll be sorry.

I was disappointed.

The CD does not contain the really up, fast beat instrumental that was played nearly non-stop during the movie. The last track on the CD is the closest to it, "Pandora's Box".

I bought the CD for the one song.....and it wasn't even on the CD.

Why they chose to not include it is beyond me. Why would you do a soundtrack CD on an "Action Movie", and leave out the "Action Music".

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as I expected it to be...., February 7, 2008

I just thought that this soundtrack would have been a bit more electronica and techno instead of weak alternative. I feel like I am listening to a family radio station. While the whole album isn't bad, its just not up to par. Still a good listen for something different.

2.0 out of 5 stars Music Question, October 2, 2009
This review is from: Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (Audio CD)
SO glad you wonderful people could figure out Sinead O'Connor's song. Thanks. Now...can anyone figure out what the instrumental is that's playing in the scene where Lara and her man go into the mall business and set off the fire alarm? It's created for the film...but can we GET it anywhere? MAN! That music gives me a buzz!
Thanks to all of you being so amazing with your knowledge!

5.0 out of 5 stars hopeful, April 6, 2009
This review is from: Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (Audio CD)
the music back ground in this movie was listened to, while i watched the movie. To my ear it had interesting tone sequences. From what i am reading in the screen before this, all the tone sequences are not on the CD. Thus i would not like to hava to puchase this for $15.00 and then spend the time listening to a sequence of sounds that does not confrom to the sequence of sounds i am hearing on the movie track. None the less with electronics and this type of thing is a dice roll so what the cream pie ill order it anyway. stewart scholl

4.0 out of 5 stars The Album That Rocks the Cradle (of Life), September 27, 2003

I obtained this album in the hopes that it would be like its predecessor, which I enjoyed thouroughly. I was surprised to find more rock songs on this album, but I grew to like it just as much:

-"Heart Go Faster" by the Davey Brothers. A nice rock song with a solid melody and beat. A good start, somewhat reminiscent of U2's "Elevation."

-"The Only Way (Is the Wrong Way)" by Filter. A softer rock song that's even more reminiscent of a U2 song.

-"Bad Girl" by Alexandra Slate. Another rock song with a more blah-ish melody. Not bad, but not particuarly good either.

-"Satellite (Oakenfold Remix)" by POD. Part rap, part techno, with a good beat. It's cool.

-"The Last High" by the Dandy Warhols. Soft alternative rock song that's certainly worth listening to.

-"Time" by Saliva. My personal favorite of the album. This hard rock song has a great melody, great lyrics, and a great sound overall. Awesome!!!

-"Leave You Far Behind" by Lunatic Calm. A chaotic heavy-techno track. I think it's cool.

-"Jam for the Ladies (Jason Nevins Remix)" by Moby. A hefty trance track, with some rap involved. Another good Moby track!

-"Starting Over" by the Crystal Method. Softer techno track with some string instruments, guitar, and disjointed vocals.

-"You Can't Look Away" by Sloth. It's back to hard rock with this adequate song.

-"I Hate This" by Nadirah 'Nadz' Seid. A rap song with synthesized instruments. Lyrics may be offensive to some, with its talk of violence and rage. Otherwise, it's good.

-"Reason is Treason" by Kasabian. Rock song with solid beat and slightly overdriven vocals. Another good track.

-"Into Hell Again" by 3rd Strike. Hard rock song, borderlining metal. It's alright.

-"Tears From the Moon" by Conjure One feat. Sinead O'Connor. Soft track between techno and chill-out, with powerful lyrics.

-"Flight to Freedom" by David A. Stewart. Instrumental guitar track without a beat or apparent melody. I'm not too impressed by it.

-"Pandora's Box" by Alan Silvestri. A piece of the film's score. It's not dramatic or hard, but it still carries a sentimental note in it. A pleseant end to the album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Adrenaline pumped, July 27, 2003
This review is from: Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (Audio CD)
I loved all the songs on it, and I bought it withought remembering much of the music. Heart Go Faster is the best song, fast and energetic, it's from the scene where Lara is riding the black horse on her rifle shoot practice. This is a great buy, with music I know Im gonna love listening to all the time.
The songs are on fire, I feel like I'm in a movie sky diving, deep sea diving and doing cartwheels in the air.

:-P

This soundtrack really goes well with the first - very cool modern tunes that get you moving. You feel as if you're surrounded by the movie! All the tracks are pretty good. Plus, Angelina Jolie is amazing!!!
