Live is a double-CD that rounds up Lara Fabian's main hits from her first three albums in one very entertaining package. In addition, the album includes two stage duets, one with her co-composer Rick Allison, the other with famous French singer Johnny Hallyday. The material was recorded during her European tour of 1998 and demonstrates her exceptional skill as a live performer. Naturally, the live versions are not as polished as the studio recordings and in some cases involve significant audience participation. Therefore, this album should mainly appeal to her most devoted fans. However, Live clearly demonstrates the Fabian voice to be as good as her studio recordings would have us believe.

You know, this is it! This is the CD! Listen to the background noise, all those people cheering, screaming with all their might for Lara, for her songs. Understand how important she is to so many people's lives, how her songs touch each one of them in different, unique ways. How Lara and her fans have an unspoken bond, a characteristic that unfortunately is so lacking in many artists nowadays.
She adds lots of surprises in this one... a duet with friend and composer Rick Allison (Evidemment), her hymn against intolerance and disrespect, La Difference, her beautiful Italian in Perdere l'amore and her love, her precious love in Je t'aime. These are songs that touch you so deeply, you can't help but be amazed. Love is never, can never be fully explained. Lara doesn't try to explain love. She simply shows it. Her love for her fans, for music, for life itself.

This live album is like a summary of what she has done in her previous 3 albums; this album should be in all music listeners' archieve. I think we are the witnesses of the rise of a new DIVA. My favorite songs are: si tu m'aimes, je t'aime, la difference, je suis malade, tout, reveille-toi brother, perdere l'amore, requiem pour un fou....(the all titles :) I think she has a perfect style, quality and strong voice (no word to describe it). Also, looking forward for her English album. I am proud to know her & discover a great voice before her fame spread worlwide.

What a beautiful CD! I was at her concert last year in Brussels and this CD is really the best memory of that special moment! Merci Lara pour les bons moments passés ensemble!

I thank God that I have had the opportunity to hear this woman sing. She is a beautiful woman with an even more beautiful voice. I saw her PBS special and it really rocked! If you like great music, then u will love this. I rated it 4 stars because even though I love the songs, the majority of them are in French and that is something I dont understand, haha. But they are beautiful songs, even if you dont know the language.

Lara Fabian has an awesome voice, and the quality of the recording is there as well. She sings all of her best songs on this one, in my opinion, with a very strong voice and passion.
This is definitely a must have cd.

Lara Fabian is amazing. Her vocal range,and emotion are truly astonishing. She is very passionate in her lyrics and the energy in which she delivers ! If you want to hear the most amazing artist to ever perform ,I highly suggest purchasing this cd. Only regret, that they didn't release this one on DVD as it would have been truly astonishing.

You can learn a lot from Lara when it comes to live performances. She is absolutely stunning during her live concerts and the fans eat out of her hands. Like other reviewers stated, her fans adore her and she adore her fans. During every live show you can always hear a roaring crowd, they are never quiet during the show and the sing along enthusiastically. The only disappointing thing about this album is that there is no DVD edition of the show. Still it is pure enjoyment to listen to this album, you feel like you are part of the show even if you're not really there.

Since I adore her voice, this is a must for any Lara fan. Here you will find all her hits, recorded alive...great for those who have never had the chance to assist to any of her concerts (like me...I live in Venezuela, and I think she have never come here before in her life!). Some alive recording include the people cheering, screaming and stuff like that. Who cares?...anyway she is agreat performer!

A very powerful voice, but may be exagerated ... One could have expected, in spite of this exercise for voice, some sincerity or something. The voice is not smooth enough to be as a diva, and too sophisticated to be for popular songs... But of course one can like this way of singing, and then i think this is a very good record to buy then.
