If you're looking for a fun read for your young family, try the entire Laramie on the Lam Series. And if you're looking for books that will be fun AND educational for your children (without them knowing it) then this series is a must read. I've read the first three, the current installment being Laramie and the Great Yorktown Battle. And while I'm 61, I guess I'm enough in my second childhood to enjoy

the antics of Laramie Wyoming and his sidekicks, Prentiss (foster brother and all around stinker) and Jake (the typical boy next door). Like boys everywhere, they find themselves in one scrape after another, but unlike boys everywhere, their problems seem to stem from Laramie unwittingly helping two bank robbers rob a bank in book one. As Laramie's family tours the US in a motorhome so his mom can write a tour book(and herein lies the education as they visit sites around the US with teacher-dad offering all kinds of good info), the robbers stay close on their tire tracks. Foster brother, Prentiss, who thinks punching is an art form, brings his own quirky nature to the stories. Laugh, sigh, but whatever you do, spend that HUGE .99 on each download. You won't be sorry. Make it a family event to read a bit each night after tucking the kiddies inot bed, and let the cliffhangers bring your child back night after night to find out whodunit!
