Strong buy. The only complaint I have is that I think the drawers should open on the other side. The little storage drawers open away from where you would sit. This table is all about the opening feature. It has nice springs so the table isnt difficult to open even when you have it loaded up. It is quite strong, no real assembly (20 minutes to bolt on the legs). All the holes lined up nicely when bolting the legs. The color is as it appears.

The first table arrived broken. It had been wrapped so tightly that the sides collapsed. We had to re-wrap the table and get it back into a box and the pickup coordination was a disaster.

The second table came intact. It's very attractive and of course the lift-top is great for working/eating at the sofa.

The finish is easy to scratch/chip. We have to be careful about our laptop cords rubbing on the side of the table. The finish rubbed off where the cords were laying across the side of the table.

For the price and the functionality, I'm still happy with the purchase. And the price was much better here than at our local Ashley store. They couldn't even come close to the price when we showed them what it was selling for online.

I just received this table and it is wonderful. The color is extremely close to the picture, with a hint of dark cherry. I wasn't looking for a lift-top table, however this table was the exact style I was looking for, so I gave it a try anyway. The lift-top was a great bonus. I have lifted it with three heavy coffee table books, remotes and stone coasters on top with ease. And it stays in the position you stop it at with a load on top without collapsing back down. I agree that it would have been nice for the drawers to open on the couch side but that's really a non-issue for me. Solid construction and heavy, quality wood. I am very pleased.

This is a very classy table, however, the finish is much darker than pictured, which was disappointing. I really didn't want to go this dark, but I don't think I'll have much trouble adjusting, it's that nice. I'd love to get some coordinating pieces - end table and TV console - when budget permits.

Cost was the lowest I've seen anywhere - on sale at Ashley Furniture in Phoenix. They didn't have it in the showroom, so my sales rep ordered it for me and it was ready for pick within three days. Brought it home from the local warehouse for under $400. Assembly was a snap. Very sturdy and well-constructed.
