I have had this style tent stake before and they were really solid. unfortunately, these are really cheap. The plastic head on them will break with barely any pressure. I went camping last weekend, and over half of them were broken by the end of the trip, some were even broken when I received them in the mail.

I recently had a graduation party for my son and we staked an outdoor tent for our guests. These stakes worked perfectly. They held the tent into place so well. They are sturdy, easy to pound into the ground, and best of all they don't bend. I highly recommend these.

Pretty straight forward tents stakes that I paid about $1.25 each for so the price was right. If you hit the plastic part with a hammer, it will break but they are plastic so that is to be expected. I keep extras in my camping gear in case one does break, but a broken plastic piece can be solved with some duct tape. I've never done it before, but you could probably put a 1/2 piece of duct tape on it beforehand to reinforce the plastic and lower the chance of one breaking.

these are just some really big nails with a plastic catch. they are really strong, but the trade off is that they are really HEAVY. so if you are camping with your car / truck no problem, but if you pack all your gear then you would probably need to find some carbon fiber or other lighter weight tent stakes.

Throw away those flimsy pegs that come with your tent purchase. This is what will get you through the gravel and rocks that are just below the surface of every camp site you'll ever visit.

These stakes hold our tent/canopy & potty tent down at the beach. Very windy, harsh conditions. They work great! Get a mallet for easy banging in!
