Misleading title,
By Alfretha "Alfretha" (Colorado, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: NRSV Large Print Bible (Hardcover)
Although titled "large" print bible, this is anything but. Even the publisher's specifications say it is "regular" print. When I called the publisher, they said that the print was 11 pt, and they didn't know the font. Now, to me, 11 pt type is definitely not large. I wouldn't even use that size to write a letter. It is small, cramped, and difficult to read. So if you are looking for a "large" print bible, definitely DON'T get this one.

What a disappointment,
By Alan Olesky (Brielle, NJ USA) - See all my reviews

Carpe Diem! I ordered a bunch of these for those in our church whose sight isn't what it used to be. Perhaps in bright sunshine with a magnifier, they could see the size of the type in this book. Save your money! This is DEFINITELY NOT large print.

Great Thin Bible for Preaching,
This review is from: NRSV Large Print Bible (Bonded Leather)
Yes, the title, "Large Print" is misleading. HOWEVER, this is a very thin bible and is great for the pulpit. Most NRSV's I have found are 2+ inches thick or are of a 'gift bible' quality. This one is not as cumbersome as the thicker texts nor as cheap. There are also some textual notes included in this Bible which others may lack (e.g, the slightly thicker Oxford, black leather at 1.4 inches). If you are looking for a good pulpit Bible, I'd recommend this one.

This is LARGE PRINT?!!!,
This review is from: NRSV Large Print Bible (Hardcover)
I bought this Bible for my 84-year-old mother who is having difficulty seeing, and while the print in this Bible is larger than the print in a phone book, it looks like no larger than 12 point print--the same size as in a normal book. The Bible is the Bible, and the NRSV is a great translation, but I was really disappointed by the publisher's definition of large print.

"Large Print" May Mislead,
By
This review is from: NRSV Large Print Bible (Hardcover)
Every Bible is a Good Book, so I don't criticize the content -- however, we found that the print was smaller than even the pew Bibles in our church. Therefore, I returned them, and continue the search for some very large print Bibles to be used by folks who have poor eyesight.

Not really large print,
By
This review is from: NRSV Large Print Bible (Hardcover)
The print size on this Bible is not really large-print. I compared it with a regular size print Bible and found the size to be substantially the same. If you really need large print, this is not the one.
