There are several variations of the HCSB Large Print Compact Bible. The print isn't tparticularly "large", though it is larger than many other compact bibles. The cover and binding are better than you would expect from a bible in this price range.

Because this Bible is compact, the large print is not what one would call large, but it is larger than the average compact Bible. Holman does a good printing job with dark print, an easy to read font and correct spacing. I have other versions of the Bible printed by Holman and they do a superb printing job with all their Bibles. The Homan Christian Standard Bible translation is easy to understand (modern language) but sticks to the meaning of the literal translations. I love this Bible because it is easy to handle, easy to read, and it fits in my coat pocket or my purse.

Be Aware that this is a small Bible. Good for taking to church, or sticking in a briefcase.

I love this little Bible. The text is large enough to read, though I wouldn't necessarily call it "large" print, I don't have to squint. The size is perfect to drop in my bag or purse and take everywhere. I'm much more likely to have this one with me than a larger version - it's just the right size. Seems to be well made and held together very nicely. Perfect price & perfect size.

Other reviews that I read BEFORE I purchased this Bible definitely stated that it was not a LARGE print Bible. The size of the Bible itself is very nice and fits into my mother's purse. It IS more readable than the small Bible she used to carry but no, it is definitely not large print. For that reason, I believe it's misrepresented. For the price and quality, however, it was the right purchase in this particular case.

THE Holman Christian Study Bible was just what I was looking for.. I own large study Bibles, but this one is easy for me to carry to church.

This translation is definitely Southern Baptist, right down to the militant refusal to give an inch to inclusive language. If you can get beyond that issue, however, it is one of the better translations I have tried. Traditional terms for salvation and the work of Jesus are retained, yet the translation is easy to read and can be read out loud in worship quite well. Physically, this bible and the font that is used are quite small but the print is clear and easy to read (at least for shorter periods of time), even with my 57 year old eyes. I take off one star because of the non-inclusive language, but I like this Bible very much.
