My mom likes to do word search puzzles, and this book is perfect for her. The pages are large (about 8.5" x 11"), and as the cover states it is indeed large print. Also, many of the word search books I found at the book store had "variation" puzzles (like missing vowels or odd-shapes) which I didn't want; this book contains only standard word search puzzles.

Gift bought for elderly relative who loves these kinds of things to do and the LARGE PRINT makes it easier and more fun. I've not used it personally but the ordering and shipping when smoothly and she was very pleased to receive it.

I bought this for my mom since it was large print and she thoroughly enjoyed it.

Words are very large and so much fun. Pages are not like regular paper but like
computer paper. Nice to circle on.

As an older person I like the fact I can see the letters clearly, even without my glasses.

Last week, my wife slapped me with those nine words you pray your spouse will never say:

"My mother's coming to stay with us this weekend."

I was told to make the mom-in-law feel 'comfortable' during her stay with us -- but how should I know what the over-50 crowd is into these days? Short of getting a haircut and staying offa her lawn, I wasn't quite sure what to do for the old girl. Luckily, Amazon was there for me, like a trusty set of choppers soaking on the bedside table.

There's nothing so relaxing as curling up with a nice puzzle, and I thought that word search would be right up my mother-in-law's alley. After all, she uses words all. The. Time. Non-stop, practically. And time spent hunting for words is time not spent detailing how much better her daughter should have done than me.

Sadly, I shot myself in the proverbial foot by buying the large-print old peoples' version. When there's only one letter per page, ferreting out the words like 'a' or 'I' doesn't take nearly as long as I hoped it would. Which left plenty of time for mom-in-law and me to 'chat'.

Wherein I learned that if not for me, her daughter would have won a Nobel Prize by now. Also an Oscar, a Pulitzer, and a card for free Denny's Grand Slam breakfasts for life. And she'd be married to an astronaut. In orbit. Around Alpha Centauri. Outstanding.

When I received this book, I realized it was nearly the same as on I could buy at the Dollar Store.

This is an excellent puzzle book - with large print and word searches. I find it a good book for my mother to use as her vision is getting poorer. It is challenging and a way to keep her mind active.

I finally found a book with type easy enough to see and plenty of puzzles to keep me occupied when I have my work caught up. It's like a crossword puzzle, using words I never heard of and that's a good thing. I have had to learn new ones. That's good for the mind! (I hear that helps ward off Alzheimer's Disease.) Big kids and little kids can do this puzzle book.

My Grandma is hard to buy for. She basically has everything she needs in life, is picky about what clothes and perfume to wear, etc. Usually the family ends up buying her either a plant or a gift certificate to a restaurant which she inevitably used to treat the person giving the gift.

When I came across these I figured it was perfect. Something to work her eyes a little, something she could work on when Fox News was on commercial break and something that she could throw away when she was finished so it wouldn't clutter up her room.

She loved it and started in on the puzzles nearly immediately. :)
