I own quite a few of this author's books and this one was so disappointing. I'm shocked. It lacked a proper build up. There was no passion to it and there was no kick. The character Braeden in the previous book was passionate, self assured and appealing. In this clip of a story he was lack luster and clumsy. I didn't like it one bit, this story was too far removed from the previous story and the characters not well defined. This was a big disappointment from a author I expected so much better from.

I was initially excited to see that the "hero", who was a supporting character in a previous title by this author, was getting his own story. How disappointing that this was a short story that can only be describe as incomplete. The story lacked character development and chemistry. A waste of time and money.

This was a short story that was written fast. There was not enough meat to the story to even make it a good short story or novella. I would recommend that you keep going and find something else for the same price that will keep you going for longer than an hour or two.

I enjoy Ms. Lee's books. I was happy to see another book about the Elkhorns. Although, I like her all of her other books, I enjoyed the fact that these characters are Christian. I hope that she maintains these qualities in the upcoming full length book. It was short, but it introduced the characters nicely, and it made me want to read more. Great job! And thanks for keeping it clean. It's nice to see. ;)

I enjoy most of Ms. Lee's work but this story was written as though she'd been given a thirty minute time limit. Knowing what we did about Braeden from the first book, the foundation for a great book had already been laid. Unfortunately, Ms. Lee didn't take the time to develop these characters, nor give them adequate time to fall in love. Also, Braeden seemed to be lacking the self assurance he oozed in the first book. Another four or five chapters in this book could have made all of the difference in the world and it would be a real shame if Ms. Lee doesn't go back and re-write this book. Lastly, my personal preference would be if Ms. Lee gave the larger women in these stories a little more confidence. The female lead always seems so "grateful" that anyone would be interested in her big behind. While, I know it's natural for some heavier set people to be somewhat less confident in their ability to attract, I just don't see very many women, particularly black women who are as lacking as Ms. Lee characters. Having said all of this, I still believe in Ms. Lee and hopefully she will write a much longer and intense book for the third brother in this series.
