Tana Hoban's photographs are delightful and engaging for toddlers and adults alike! The bright, eye-candy photographs in this book are conversation provoking and each time you look at the book with your little one, you'll find new subjects to talk about! An excellent introduction to the concept of sizes as well as colors, shapes & moods! A favorite at our house, for sure!

As with the other TH books I have, this concept book works really well (my fav is Shapes Shapes Shapes, which I'd also recommend). Rather than explaining the concept, kids can see the idea. The fact that there are many versions of the idea makes it so your kids can have a positive experience, since once they get the idea, they can show you that they know it, over and over. The pictures are attractive, if a little 70s/80s.

This is also a great book to have around for early book-enjoyers, especially as something your kid can do while you're busy. I got this when my son was 1 and already enjoying books. Since there are no words in the book, he could look through it and experience it without me looking over his shoulder. A good alternative to, e.g., television, if you need a little break.

A simple book about relative sizes. A book that enables discussion about the world between a child and a care giver.
