I bought 2 of these for my 200 lb. arthritic Mastiff (see pics) and he loves them. I have 9 different dog beds in my house and this is the first bed he lays down on in the living room now. He ignores all the other beds. To get a better idea of his size, if he were to stand up on his back legs he is taller than 5"9 (my height). So if you look at him on the pic you get a better idea of the size of the bed. It is really thick, it doesn't collapse to the floor when he lays on it. I definitely would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a really good bed for their dog.

My chocolate lab is getting older now (he's 7 and getting pretty gray in the face), and I noticed he would often wake up stiff and limp a bit before loosing up.
He was worrying me by not being able to climb stairs like he used to in the morning, to eat/go poop in my lawn.
This bed solved everything for him, he's back to jumping out of bed and ruining up stairs with no problem at all.
It's as if sleeping in this bed took years off of him, he's much happier now than on his old mat.
The bed may well be his favorite item in the house, and he will spend hours upon hours laying on it if I'm in the room with him. (It's in the TV room)
I was concerned that it would be too small for him to stretch out on, but this bed is HUGE, even for my 145lb lab.
If he could write this review himself I'm sure it would also be five-stars, though I bet he would have more grammatical errors.

The bed is what they said it would be. It is very big, my 170 pound Great Dane curls up on it and it is so big he looks small. There is plenty of room for him to spread out when he wants, it is thick enough it does not make a thud when he plops down on it like his last bed. Overall we are very pleased with it.

We have four dogs now, two of which exceed 100 lbs. Our newest, a Cane Corso(Italian mastiff)is currently 7 months old and will peak out somewhere between 160-180 pounds. With three dog beds available, this one is their first choice. It's always first come, first served, regardless of size. Our rescue dog, a shepherd/lab mix, has lymphoma and always claims it at night. He is currently in remission after six months of chemo and doing well. If any of you have dogs suffering from some form of cancer and have an experienced oncologist available, you should know that dogs generally tolerate chemo extremely well and exhibit a great quality of life. Prices for treatments and medication run around $300 per month, prohibitive for some and manageable for others. There are some vets out there who will charge whatever the market will bear($600-$900 per month). If you run into that, find another one. It has been well worth it for us.

But I digress. Once any of our dogs hit this bed, they simply settle in and it's "lights out". No circling the bed, no digging to make it better, they just relax. I'm ordering a second unit.

This IS THE BEST thing I have EVER bought site unseen!!! My 9 year old Doberwoman is now VERY comfortable & has started playing more because of the GREAT rest she now gets on her dogbed. My dog is one happy camper. Great bed...larger than his previous bed that cost twice as much!

My Doberman is a big boy weighing in at over 100 pounds. He is also a big chewer, having chewed up an untold number of beds. This bed has a denim cover which I hope will disuade him from his bed destroying habit. When he first saw the bed he immediately went over to it, walked around on it for a bit and laid down. He has enjoyed it ever since and so far has not done any damage. To be on the safe side, at least for a while, I ordered an extra inner cover and an extra outer cover.

The reason for 4 stars is because the bed was received with no paper work of any kind. No user instructions, no care instructions and not even a shipping invoice. Just a cardboard box containing a plastic bag with a solid lump of foam contents and no information as to how to unpack or proceed. Fortunately, the Amazon web site had some basic info on usage which was a much needed assistance. One thing that would have been helpful was that the innards of the bed would enlarge to a degree that would make the outer cover difficult to install. It would have been easier to place the outer cover over the bed right after removing it from the plastic bag.

The bed I highly recommend but the lack of an instruction sheet or manual is a lame way to do business.

I ordered the best reviewed, largest bed I could find for my aging mastiff. This bed didn't let me down. It's thick enough to cushion his joints, too. Highly recommended.

This bed is by far the best bed we have ever bought for our 125 lb great dane. She can sleep on it all night and the foam never sags to the floor. Also, the foam is lose in the bed so you can shake it around and fluff the bed back up again. The cover is very durable and easy to spot clean and vacuum, I haven't tried to wash it yet but it looks like it would hold up just fine in the wash.

Our Great Dane hopped right onto this bed as soon as it arrived and has hardly moved since! It is very large and the shredded memory foam provides nice cushion. I was reluctant to spend so much on a dog bed, but this one is good quality and will last. We highly recommend.
