Quality and Inspiring rock,
This review is from: Largo Divine (Audio CD)
for those who miss jeff buckley about as much me, there is little to find that captures even half of the heart and soul his music delivered. black beetle is still a musical enigma to me in as much as i haven't heard them yet. i did, however, discover citrus by accident, and although they aren't the perfect remedy for us who live in the world a little sadder since jeff passed; they do have some great nods in their music and vocals to him. most notably "mindful but miserable messiah", "picture above my bed" and most assuredly so "what a thought". i am looking forward to a new cd from them. a little melodramatic but not to the point of total cheesedom. this band soars a bit higher than most of the so-called emo and indie stuff thats coming out lately. a little Cure influence showing; some Shudder to Think in the mix and a lot of good songwriting go a long way with this cd. haven't taken it out of my player for days actually.

Largo Definately Divine,
By A Customer
This review is from: Largo Divine (Audio CD)
This Refreshing debut release from Citrus is a combination of Etherial and Pop/Rock tracks mixed and mastered Perfectly for the ear. From the Hypnotizing "The Drag", to The Catchy and Beautiful "Eerie Elixr", the songs are a Pleasure to hear (and sing along to). If you look hard enough you can find inspirations from Bowie, Jeff Buckley, The Beatles, Queen, and Led Zeppelin, But with a Sound All Their Own, This Citrus CD is Artfully Written and Perfectly Performed, from the Depth of the lyrics to the Catch of the Hooks. AAA+++
