Product Description
The harmonium is an Indian musical instrument, somewhat akin to the early American pump organ. The piano-like keyboard is played with the right hand, while pumping the bellows with the left. On the scale change model the front panel opens to reveal an arm (or lever) that can be moved to 1 of 7 different positions to permit playing in any of 7 scales. Has 10 or 11 stops. Some stops are drones while other add extra reed banks. One stop is a vibrato and one is a mechanical coupler or octave coupler which, when activated, allows the same note one octave higher to play along with the key you are pressing.
