Perfect for our trip
Since we knew nothing about the Italian language we decided to order this before our scheduled trip to Italy. It is good to have the book with us and point to the Italian word if we do not know how to pronounce it as it had the English word right next to it. A good way to travel and learn the language all at once. Thanks.

Not exactly pocket size
I thought this would be small enough to fit easily into a belt bag for on the go reference. Not so, it is the size & thickness of a regular paperback book taking up too much room. Good for use at home but clumsy for on the move usage.

Understand what they're really singing in that Italian Opera you're listening to. Libretto translations are often Bowlderized when you buy opera recordings. Valuable & affordable pocket reference.

This is probably a fantastic dictionary but it is the size of a regular paperback book. I was looking for something much smaller that would actually fit into my pocket. The 3 star rating is purely because of disappointment on the size. While traveling in Italy I certainly didn't want to be carrying this around.
