5.0 out of 5 stars These Videos Offer What They Promise, June 25, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Larry Anderson's Jaw Droppers Volume I & Volume II [VHS] (VHS Tape)
There is a commercial for these videos running on TV. They promise that these magic tricks are easy to learn and involve no slight of hand. Anyone can do these. Well, Larry Anderson is right! I personally am not very good with magic tricks but these were very easy to learn. --And just like the video says, they are great as icebreakers at parties and other social events. Volume one has easier simple tricks with little or no preparation, and Volume two involves tricks that involve only minimum prep time. I never spent more than 15 minutes on any trick! Some of these tricks are even ones that you've seen before performed by famous magicians. This is one of the best videos of its kind out on the market.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great video, tricks were sort of obvious, December 6, 2000

This review is from: Larry Anderson's Jaw Droppers Volume I & Volume II [VHS] (VHS Tape)
All in all this was a great video just for the fact that Larry Anderson goes into so much WONDERFUL detail. But on the flipside of that... sometimes that detail gets kind of annoying... he can talk for three to five minutes on teh simplest of the tricks on his video. Another thing of small concern... on this video set.. there are a couple of really great 'jaw droppers' ones that would actually drop jaws... and yes, all the tricks are good.. but some just seem to be there for filler.. and that if you actually performed them you'd just look silly. These are probably the tricks that he included for the younger viewers of the tape, so I really don't hold any ill feelings about that, I just thought you should know. If you've been intrigued about buying these tapes through the infomercial, but just want these first to tapes... buy them here!! The price can't be beat and you will definitly get all your moneys worth with these tapes.

5.0 out of 5 stars ever wanted to become a magician?, May 8, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Larry Anderson's Jaw Droppers Volume I & Volume II [VHS] (VHS Tape)
If you wanted to become a magician, these tapes will do the trick for you. Im at my early 20's and let me tell you, these tapes are great for every one. The card tricks are my favorite eventhough the rest of the tricks really are jaw droppers. Also the guy showing the video tricks is so entertaining. I learned 3 tricks the first time I saw the first video. But let me tell you, you will be overwhelmed the first day so just take it easy and take it slowly cause there is lots of tricks to learn.
I guarantee you that after the first week, you will earn the prestigious title "Magician".
