I enjoy the short Will Cannon "B" western novels. This one has an interesting story surrounding and old "hillbilly" feud. Of course like any good B Western, the hero rides into town and cures all. Hey, that's ok, its entertainment and that is why I read western novels and watch old B-Western movies. I felt the story was a bit uneven. Action was pretty good through most of the book, but the final showdown seemed to come too soon....or the ending drug on too long...which ever way you wish to look at it. Final two chapters seemed a bit choppy. Also the book downloaded to my kindle had some formatting problems in some of the last half of the book that caused a wide margin on the left and only about a half a screen of text on the right. Not the authors fault, but a kindle formatting error. If you like short western novellas (not short stories and not long novels) where the good guys triumph and the bad guys are given their just punishment, then you too may enjoy the Will Cannon series.
