Great Series, Bring on Season 3.,
By Isabella (NY, New York.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Las Vegas: Season Two (DVD)
Las Vegas is a definite guilty pleasure. It's light, fun, and very entertaining to watch. If you are looking for a deep, serious show - this isn't the one for you. It's pure cheese most of the time and it knows it - never taking itself seriously at all which makes it all the more fun. I loved Season One, liked Season two, and am looking forward to Season Three. Season Two features some great episodes such as the season opener "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" with Danny returing from war and his trauma associated with it, to the hilarious twist in "Tainted Love" where Sam's billionaire husband (Guest Star Dean Cain) comes back to claim his wife shocking Sam and everyone else. The crossover episode with Crossing Jordan "Two Of A Kind" and the season finale "Centennial" are also among the best episodes of the season. Season Two is also loaded with numerous musical guest stars such as The Black Eyed Peas, Snoop Dogg, Duran Duran, and Gladys Knight just to name a few. The cast has such a great chemistry even some of the more mediocre episodes are made entertaining.
The DVD is very well done. The picture quality is amazing with all the episodes in high definition. The "UnCut and UnCensored" part comes in during the episodes where Vegas features strippers, and other risque type scenes. Basically there's a lot of extra T&A footage. The extra footage is the only reason I gave the DVD 4 stars. Universal just can't seem to get the right mix of special features. This DVD set features a 14 minute blooper reel from Season's 1 and 2. It's hysterical, I wish it had gone on for an hour. But other than that, there's not much more to the special features. I am really hoping that when the Season 3 DVDs come out, we get a blooper reel, commentaries, AND Interviews. Other than that, the only other glaring ommission is the exclusion of the Crossing Jordan's part of the crossover episode. But over all this set is a keeper.

I'm pleased with the set,
This review is from: Las Vegas: Season Two (DVD)
I am one of those people who waits for a network show to arrive on DVD before I get into it. So I am glad the "Las Vegas" Season 2 is here. The second season of the popular NBC series Las Vegas is now available on DVD. Universal is really on a role with releasing television series to DVD shortly after the season ends and prior to the launch of the upcoming season. First we get House Season one and now Las Vegas Season Two.
The action continued on Las Vegas during Season 2. When James Lesure and Josh Dumal get together it's like Crocket and Tubbs 2005. The best thing about Las Vegas Season Two is that to my knowledge none of the original music was changed. In the episode "When You Got To Go, You Got To Go," the group Duran Duran guest star. Prior to them appearing on screen the episode opens up with "Hungry Like The Wolf." In the background during the episode you can hear snippets of their songs "Sunrise," and "What Happens Tommorrow." Music is important to Las Vegas so it's good the music wasn't changed. James Caan is excellent in this series as are the beautiful ladies of Las Vegas Vanessa Marcil, Molly Sims, Marsha Thomason, and Nikki Cox. The episodes are dual disc as are most universal releases. I suppose this keeps costs down. Bonus features incude a Gag Reel and a featurette titled "VIP Access Only." The individual discs are enclosed in individual keepsake cases and I like the colorful box.

The Best Show on TV!,
By
This review is from: Las Vegas: Season Two (DVD)
With the recent cancellation of everything good on NBC, I got addicted to the one good show they have left! Las Vegas has everything a person could want in a show...drama, comedy, an actor that is well-known (James Caan), and some fresh new faces (Josh Duhamel, Nikki Cox, et al.). I bought Season One and watched the whole thing in a matter of a week and now I can't wait until Sept. 13th to get the next season!
One thing I do have to say that is bad about this set is the fact that you have to carefully check each DVD as the first copy of the set that I purchased had flaws (glitches) in two of the three two-sided discs (I purchased it from Best Buy, lost my receipt and they wouldn't refund or exchange it...I'm out 50 bucks. I purchased my second set from Amazon and have no problems. Just make sure you keep your receipt until you watch all episodes so you have a way to exchange the set if needed.). Otherwise, this series is much worth the purchase.
