The Laser Disc Register Commemorative Catalog includes data about laser disc titles issued in the USA covering approximately 17,000 distinct titles. Front and back cover art is included for approximately 10,000 titles. The catalog runs completely on the DVD-ROM and no software is installed on your PC. The catalog opens to the table of contents. From there you may explore the catalog using various lists and indexes including by title, by movie, by publisher, by theme, by director, and by performer. If you are looking for a specific disc title, then you look up the title using a search form. You may search the catalog by title, catalog number, or by UPC code. If you are looking for a specific movie, you can look up the movie using the search form. For a given movie you can then look up all of the disc titles that included that movie or program. Look Up Titles by: Disc Title Publisher Class and Genre Performer Movie or Program Catalog Number UPC Code History of the Laser Disc: There is also an expository section that describes the features and capabilities of the laser disc format and how these attributes are recorded in the catalog including an Essay on the history of the Laser Disc. Detailed Title listings include: Front and back cover art (for most titles) Publisher, Catalog and UPC Issue date and Retail Price Picture and Audio Specs Director and Performers Supplements and Extras Version information for reissues Printable Catalog: The DVD-ROM includes a full printable catalog in Adobe Acrobat format designed to be printed on 8.5"x 11" paper. Using acrobat you can print some or all pages of the catalog. Special Searches: Browse special listings and categories such as THX, DTS, AC-3, Box sets, Discovision and others.
