There are lots of construction applications that demand 360-degree performance, including installation of cabinets, acoustic ceilings, foundations, and swimming pools, and the PLS360 delivers fast, error-free setup to help you accomplish whatever job is at hand with precision.

With the PLS360, there's none of the tricky knob adjustments or easy-to-damage moving parts that can make rotary laser setup a big time commitment. There's simply a single-button that provides access to a visible indoor working range of 100 feet. This means you can project bright lines that are easy on the eyes across a full circle with a 200-foot diameter. The PLS360 is accurate within 1/8-inch over 100 feet.

Packaged without a detector, this tool is best suited for interior work like installing small ceilings in hotels, school rooms, and office buildings where fast set up is required. For effective outdoor use, the PLS 360 is also available as a Kit (includes detector, tripod, and rod) and as a System (includes detector). The SLD detector allows this tool to deliver reliable readings over extended distances--up to 250 feet--and in bright light conditions.

Like all PLS Point and line laser alignment tools, the PLS360 is fully self-leveling, and it takes full advantage of the patented PLS pendulum design and magnetic dampening to deliver real, usable results. I purchased this to help level a permanent wood foundation wall system. It allowed me to quickly and accurately place foundation wall sections without needing a level. The last wall piece joined up perfectly to the first piece I laid.

When using this outdoors in bright, direct sunlight, it only has an effective range of about 10 or possibly 15 feet with a lot of squinting. On overcast days or when using it in shadows I was able to pick out the line from 25-30 feet away. At night or when using this indoors, there is no difficulty in picking up the line at any (reasonable) distance.

This laser is very fast and effective for use with running T-bar acoustical ceilings, it's very quick and easy to mount and adjust compared to many lasers I have used and proves to be very accurate even when used for larger rooms.

Due to it using 5 different laser emitters a drop can result in them being knocked out of alignment making it quite useless until repaired...
