I purchased this item after seeing the high prices of the "good" brands. It was a mistake and I am already returning my unit. At first the construction seems pretty solid. Doesn't feel like a toy and is pretty rugged. I got the battery in the light and it came on just fine. Couldn't tell how bright it was because I was indoors and there was a lot of light. Put the batteries in the laser and no dice. I tried every which way and it just did not work. I went to the store to purchase new batteries thinking that the batteries were drained somehow and the new batteries didn't work either. Amazon made the return really easy. They even pay for return shipping.

This was one of my first purchases from the company and also one of my last. I had so much difficulty with them over such a simple product. I placed the order on Amazon but then the product's company contacted me telling me it was discontinued. I told the company "No problem, forget it, I'll just take a refund." They told me they would refund the purchase but then never did and instead sent out the product which had replaced the onle I ordered, which does not fulfill my needs. Then I was informed I would have to pay shipping costs to return the product...WHAT?!

I had zero problems with the ordering process through amazon, just a bunch of trouble with the actual product company. I hate saying it, but I couldn't recommend this to anyone.
