Product Description

Product Description

The Kryptonyte Center Mass Laser; an industry-first, laser system displaying a ring of green laser dots surrounding the center aiming laser for rifle and shotgun. Developed to decrease target acquisition time and increase levels of accuracy for rifles and shotguns with a Picatinny rail (3 inches or longer), the LaserLyte CM-15 helps the user quickly center the shot within the ring. The CM-15 projects a ring of 8 green laser dots with one green laser dot in the center as the aiming laser. The circle grows at one-inch per yard, approximately the same configuration as a shotgun aimed at a moving target. The green laser, which aids in daylight visibility, gives the user the advantage of a wide field-of-view while using both eyes for aiming. The user-friendly, military-styled laser with clear laser engraved markings has a recessed activation selector that can be changed to off, constant on and momentary on. The remote switch is used with the 10-inch length, 2-inch tape switch area with copper braided cord.

I bought this for my wife to put on her mossberg 12 gauge "chainsaw". Laugh if you will, but the chainsaw configuration is much more natural for my wife to become familiar with and has it's place. Back to the sight.

It provides her (a novice) with much more insight on how the shot will spread and area it will cover. The farther you are away from a target the larger the laser area becomes..mimicking the spread of buckshot. It is bright enough that I'm not going to install a flashlight on the gun. It's a niche product just like the "chainsaw" mossberg, but it has made her more comfortable with the gun and its use.... 5 stars for me!

Sidenote - we are practicing with distances that are relative to our home where she would be using the setup for home protection. Intruders beware!

Laser can not be seen more than a few feet away outdoors. If you intend to use it strictly inside it's adequate but the many many smaller dots look like a lit Christams wreath. This unit has been replaced by the B model.

Does exactly what it says it does, this is a great product. Works best in low light but is visible in daylight also.

Great idea and great laser for a shotgun or any other gun which you can clearly show you center mass. I planned to use it for home defense on my shotgun, but there is one thing that I wish I would have known. Indoors in a dark room there are several tiny dots that go with the main center mass dots. These only appear in dark rooms and in close spaces, when outdoors in light these are not visible. I thought it was a defect but contacted laserlyte and they said this was normal. Just an FYI. I still love the laser and would recommend.

I bought the LaserLyte and had the same dimming issues some of the other reviewers talked about. I put in a brand new battery thinking maybe the one shipped with it had worn down. The battery comes installed in the Laser. Put in the new battery and same thing, turn on the switch and it dims and brightens randomly.
Also, The disco effect of the laser's refracting mirrors gets out of control at night. You go down into your kitchen and random beams are reflecting off pots and stuff from all sides. They shine on the roof, walls and floors, VERY distracting if looking for an intruder. If you look on LaserLyte's website you will see they discontinued this model. It was a neat concept but very distracting at night. I sent pictures to LaserLyte showing the lighting artifacts all over the walls, and they said it was normal because of the way the mirrors in the laser work.

Mounted easily and has held up well under initial testing. Reliable product, thus far! Will complete testing at various target engagement distances and under various lighting conditions. Packaging and prompt delivery sealed the deal.

The engineers had a neat idea in creating a laser that would show shot placement of 1" width per linear yard, however, the unit projects laser splatter along with the 8 outer and 1 center dots. Laser also dims while continually pressing on the activation pad.

I cleaned the lense but it didn't correct the splatter. I paid approximately $220.00 for my unit from one of Amazon's vendors, gave it a 3 star rating, and stated it was only worth about $120.00 when I wrote a review on their website.

Product is rated fairly at 3 stars due to laser splatter and dimming.
It's unbelievable that I return to Amazon a few weeks later and learn the unit has been re-priced accordingly. Still $220.00 on vendor's website.
Decent product for home defense shotgun, just have to live with the flaws.

I've used on both my M-4 and Mossberg 590 A-1. Holds its zero very well and "paints" pretty close to actual patterning of my 590.
