Bad experience replacing the rear sight with the Laserlite sight on my Glock,

This was my first purchase of a laser sight and from the looks of the way the laser replaced the rear sight on the Glock, I knew I wouldn't need to replace my existing holster setup. Today was my first attempt to get the laser sighted in. Only after about 6 rounds I had the laser set perfectly. Where ever that red dot was located on the target, that's right where the bullet hit. I ended up putting about 30 rounds through the gun. When I got home I always clean my guns. After cleaning, I couldn't get the laser to turn on. The button on the rear of the laser wouldn't move. I pushed as I normally did, but it never came on. I removed the batteries to check the contacts and everything looked fine. As I put the batteries back in and started to tighten the cap, I did see the laser light come on, but the further I continued to tighten the battery cap, the weaker the laser light became. I played around with this thing for over 2 hours and never got the laser to perform the way it did when I was shooting. Just for information, I ended up at Cabales and explaned my problem, because they sell the exact same laser from Laserlite. I was informed of the many returns Cabales has experienced with this particular rear mounted laser sight. The constant force needed to chamber another round proved to be to much for the Laserlite to handle. Even though I didn't purchase the Laserlite from Cabales, they were more than willing to help me out. I ended up getting a Crimson Trace Laser Grip for the Glock for the same price and it didn't interfer with my holster setup. Sorry Laserlite, but it just didn't hold up after shooting 30 rounds.

this is my first laser sight, and I bought it because it so closely replaced the size and location of the Glock rear sight. This avoids having to find new holsters that accomodate the typical sight mounted on an under-barrel rail. Also, it doesn't change the weight or balance of the gun. The retail price is below other lasers, plus Amazon offered it for about $60 below list. It was very simple to install, needing no tools other than those provided in the kit. It was also easy to aim with the included tiny allen wrench - my initial installation and aiming at home produced shots only a few inches off when shot at a target 20+ feet away. One downside is that the tiny batteries don't last very long if you leave the laser on. Another is that the on-off button is difficult to turn on when drawing from a holster quickly. Lastly, the button can be turned on by accident by clothing or otherwise, running the batteries down and leaving the laser inoperable when needed. Otherwise I'm quite satisfied.

not worth the money. weak laser. 20' max in daylight. Battery life short. No instructions as to over adjusting then bringing back to normal. Had to call company to get info. The company was receptive to replacement. Ok for indoor shooting.
