This Guide Rod Laser fits the SiGARMS P229. Battery Model: LMS-392 (readily available silver oxide batteries commonly used in watches) Accuracy (20 Yards): ±2-Inch POA. Laser Operating Temperature: 15°-120° F. Wavelength: 635nm (red-orange) Power Output: 5mW (brightest available - blinks for highest visibility) Spot size: at 7 yds 5/16”, spot size at 25 yds 3/4”. If any firearm has been ported, fluted or compensated either by the original manufacturer or by a gunsmith, LaserMax will NOT guarantee alignment. I purchased the LaserMax Guide Rod Laser for my Sig Sauer P229R about a month ago. It arrived with all necessary components and simple to read instructions. I'm no gunsmith and I easily installed the laser and new take down lever in under 10 minutes. I've put about 500 rounds through my Sig since installing the laser, probably only 100 of which actually using it, but I include the total to demonstrate durability. It is a simple as point and shoot and is for all intents and purposes perfectly aligned with the barrel. I've let friends with almost no shooting experience use it and they were able to hit the bullseye. The power buttons are perfectly placed for my right index finger and left thumb to actuate with my grip. They protrude far enough to be good controls, but not far enough to become a problem with any holster I'm familiar with. No laser is a substitute for marksmanship and I would not suggest this in lieu of practicing proper training and technique, but in a pinch and as a training aid (mainly demonstrating drift downrange esp. during trigger pull) this is great product.
A couple notes on the function of the laser. -It does explicitly say, but some still don't seem to get, it's a pulsing laser, not a steady beam. I don't have a problem with it and think it probably does help you pick it out of the background. -The laser will shut off when the slide is locked back. Initially I was unaware of this and was concerned when it shut off at the end of a mag. However, this function makes sense as it saves battery life.

This laser sight works exactly as promised! Installation was easy and the accuracy is 100% spot on. The only (small) issue I have is that the takedown lever does not exactly match my gun and could be a little more refined.

I enjoy the ease of using Amazon, but the price for this vendor is over $100 greater than many other internet retailers. No sale.
