Great Laser Sight For S&W J-Frame Revolvers,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: LaserMax J-Max Laser S&W J Rnd Butt Black w/Hammers (Misc.)
When choosing a laser sight for my S&W J-Frame revolver, I debated between two...the Crimson Trace and the Lasermax. I had previous experience with a Lasermax unit on one of my Glocks and it always performed perfectly. The Crimson Trace unit has a great reputation and is by-far the best seller in the field for revolvers. One thing I didn't like about it, however, is that the laser beam shoots under the cylinder and can be easily blocked by the index finger when holding the revolver in a "safe" position (ie, index finger not inside the trigger guard). The Lasermax, on the other hand, shoots over the cylinder and it is not possible to block the beam with your finger.I could not be happier with my purchase. The unit works perfectly and is extremely bright. I've done some testing at night and can easily see the laser point on a structure almost 100 yards away. It's easy to install and adjust. I like the grip configuration...it feels good...very similar to the factory grips. The grips also provide a convenient storage area for an extra set of batteries and the little allen wrench used to adjust the impact point. I highly recommend the Lasermax unit for J-Frame Revolvers. |
