5.0 out of 5 stars Bright, small, almost perfect
LaserMax certainly has another winner here. The unit is small, easy to install and operate. It is considerably brighter than any red laser I have compared it with (standard pistol lasers in the $80 to $150 price range). This is especially evident outside, in daylight. 1.0 out of 5 stars Not at all happy with this device.
Bought this on amazon as looked like a great product.
Put in on a Sig Sauer 226 9mm and used the tool provided
to line up the laser with the iron sites. Took it to the range
and after one mag of ammo it was off target by more than 10inches
at 10yds, thought it might be loose so retightened on the weapon
but no better, Used the tool to try...

5.0 out of 5 stars Bright, small, almost perfect, October 24, 2010

LaserMax certainly has another winner here. The unit is small, easy to install and operate. It is considerably brighter than any red laser I have compared it with (standard pistol lasers in the $80 to $150 price range). This is especially evident outside, in daylight. In my opinion it would be perfect but for two minor detractors: 1. The switch protrudes on the sides, which makes unintended turn-on quite possible, especially when the pistol is holstered. 2. When the ambient temperature goes above about 103 degrees F, the intensity of the beam goes way down. This is caused by the complex electronic circuitry necessary for a green laser, and is well published in the LaserMax literature. However, it should be taken into account when the choice of laser is being made.
I would definitely recommend this laser to anybody who is not planning to use it outside, during the day in Arizona or Nevada summers.

1. easy install and fit tight on the picatinny rail.
2. Very bright and the strobing was fast to locate at a distance.
However i did have a issue with the lasermax when chambering and firing a round.
The laser would shut off and i would have to tap or completely take the back apart to
get the laser to turn back on.I exchanged with amazon for a replacement Uni-Max
and just recived the package today.
Have not fired the weopon with the new Uni-Max however i have continuously cocked the weopon
in the attempt to get the lazer to malfuction. And the laser seems to be working great
But D@$# my luck this time the laser didn't come with the alignment tool.
So i have to return the laser once again.
With that being said i must say amazon's return service is fast and just fantastic.

5.0 out of 5 stars great laser sight, September 16, 2011

This laser sight is reasonably priced, and is just the ticket for a FN FiveSeven. The green laser is much better than red, esp. in daylight. The switch is easy to use, but a little exposed; one must be careful when holstering the pistol not to inadvertently turn on the laser sight in the holster.

Bright and very visible in almost all lighting conditions. Well made and comes with a quality tool for mouting and adjustments. A little pricey, but good things are rarely cheap and cheap things are rarely good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well, June 13, 2011

It arrived in good time thanks to Amazon's shipping. Everything worked out of box. It lines up perfectly. I find the 1/5 star review about dead batteries laughable. Just because the batteries did not work when you got it does not mean you rate it 1/5. Anyways, mine worked fine. As far as recoil goes, no problems here. Like with anything that screws, don't under or over tighten and you will be just fine.

and wouldn't move the point of impact at all, tried slight elevation
adjustment, nothing. The laser goes on but can't get it to move
at all. Now will have to sit on hold with their tech department and
will cost me to ship it off to get fixed, For a nearly $300 laser site
shouldn't have issues like this within a day of getting it.

Advertised as appearing brighter to human eyes than the red laser. I do not think this is true and certainly not worth the extra increase in cost.

Flashing dot in my unit is not stable. It actually moves around slightly. I think I will send it back for an exchange.

Unit is designed to mount on a Weaver style base. This works very well.
The top of the unit is also a Weaver style base so another product can be mounted on top of it. However unit is so short this is not possible. What we need is a dummy unit to install behind the laser on a rifle to allow mounting a scope on top of the laser.
However, the short laser unit will fit nicely on the accessory rail of many pistols.

Save a hundred bucks and go for the red laser.

1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work when it showed up, May 18, 2011

I got this for my AR-15 pistol. I got the most expensive one because I was worried about it holding up under heavy recoil.

Well there's no need to worry about that. It didn't work when it arrived. Customer Service told me that it probably got turned on during shipping & they offered to send me new batteries but why would I want that? For this price, I want a unit that was not running hot in a plastic package for 10+ hours.

Also, what about waiting a week for the batteries and this doesn't fix the problem?

I'm buying a red laser since the technology seems to have been around longer.
