In the end, we got it to work. Turns out there was a problem with the cell network that caused the machine not to connect up. I was told this affected all units, not just ours - and it was a problem the cell network company (AT&T or T-Mobile, I guess) had to work though. The annoying part was waiting for the cell network problem to get worked through. And that took about a month or longer.

During set up I found the blinking lights to be someone cryptic. We would get a set of yellow or red or green blinking lights that did not match the troubleshooting guide.

The unit itself is sort of lightweight and has a slight cheap feel because of this. But...it works! While away we had the alarm go off and the Cyclone did its part calling the pertinent people!

On the plus side the technical support was very good and helpful.

For the other reviewer who knocked the entire system, if you do have problems with the components (not working) they will send you a new one at no charge. We have one motion detector that will not charge, so we'll be calling them to replace. We have a small townhome so the unit sits within 10 feet of the front door. Motion detection is not a problem. If you are able to walk 15 feet into a room (or hall) and still not be very far into the room, perhaps you have bought the wrong type of alarm system for your home.

Laser Shield doesn't tell you that the only way you can get this machine to call out is though their service at around $25.00 per month.

The motion sensors are poor quality in that I can walk about 15' into the room before they activate.

The siren is not close to being loud you can't even hear it outside of the room.

It is hassle to arm the machine in that you have wait for the machine to go though a lot of verbiage before you can arm it.

In less than 2 months it is already malfunctioning.

The positive reviews must come from very easy to please people or they are shills.

Do not buy this machine.
