Pros: Great air flow.

The front grill seems slightly larger than the back grill, and is extremely difficult to seat properly onto the back grill's tabs.

The low setting of this fan cranks out a great deal of air.

Mechanically very flimsy, but moves a lot of air on high speed and only 25 bucks at Walmart. Amazon is a bit of a rip-off on this one at the current price of $38. Only time will tell whether it holds up, as it is not very sturdy. The noise level is consistent with the air velocity that it achieves. Not disturbing, kind of a pleasant white-noise background. On low speed it's fairly quiet. 5 stars for noise level and air movement, but take away 1 for flimsy construction = 4 stars.

This fan is perfect. I've been trying to work on my Mom's condo, clearing things out (she passed away last month), and I'm trying not to use the A/C ($$$) unless I absolutely have to. It's quieter than I thought it would be (with a name like Cyclone), and really puts out the air. I'm very pleased with my purchase so far, and hope it continues to work as well.

This fan has many great qualities. It not only oscillates but tilts back to face straight up. The wind generated even on low is quite powerful. Having said all that this thing is loud. Loud enough that it annoys people who are trying to watch TV even on the lowest setting. At first b/c of noise I wanted to return it but it comes in handy and I decided to tolerate the noise generated. Probably best for use in a shop or outdoor setting. If you are looking for an indoor fan buy something else.

The bulk of this fan is made out of light plastic. It might feel cheap, but it's more than sufficient for it to perform its duties. It has a wide, solid base and light for easy moving and relocating from room to room. It moves air very well and the oscillating feature is a definite plus. It was easy to assemble and doesn't require any tools to put together. The noise from the wind it produces is tolerable and is expected when it comes to high velocity fans like this. Definitely a good buy and will recommend it to others looking for a high velocity oscillating fan like this.

Not going to waste your time by describing this fan, if your reading this you know what it is.
This fan comes in pieces but it is quite literally a snap to put together, no tools required. Took me maybe 15 minutes.... and I read the instructions!
OK, so this is by no means the quietest fan you can buy as the motor does hum, the higher the speed the greater the hum and the same can be said for the blade and air noise. Kind of reminds me of the old prop noise from the old prop planes if your old enough to remember them.
The good news is if you want to move a lot of air on the cheap, don't mind a little noise then this is the fan for you. Other then the motor it's plastic, good quality plastic, sturdy base, almost tip proof unless you fall onto it. Low speed will move more air then any tower fan on high. It's easy to snap off the grill to clean the fan, no tools required and if the noise bothers you place the fan in the next room, this thing is powerful enough that you'll still feel the breeze.

****Update****

Liked this fan so much went out and bought a second one. The motor hum on the first one all but vanished and none at all on the second fan, all you hear is the blade beating the air which is common on a fan but not as bad as past fans I've had.
This time around I had this assembled in 5 minutes, and most of that time was getting the front grill on. Yes that can be a pain but after a couple times it gets easier and worth the effort. The grill really does make a difference in the air flow.
I've had no problem with the fan staying at full height or the base falling off when moving it. Just be sure you "screw" the pole into the base as instructed and even these old arthritic hands have no problem tightening the lock to hold the fan high.
All in all think this is a great buy for the money.

For the past 15 yrs or so I have been sleeping with a fan on. 365 days a year. So I would consider myself a "fan expert". The low setting of this fan cranks out a great deal of air. The high setting puts out an almost ridiculous amount. Low setting is the perfect amount of noise for sleep (for me at least). People say it's flimsy but I don't find that the case. The base is wide and you would have to put a lot of effort in to tipping it over. I have not had any problems with the adjustable height. It stays in place if you tighten it. The top of the fan comes completely apart so it's easy to clean. It would get a full 5 stars if the front grill wasn't so difficult to put on. The plastic "slide prong A into slot B" is a little frustrating seeing as how you have to get them all in at the same time. Other than that it's a great fan. Another problem I have with it is that I don't have 2! I'll be buying another soon. So I don't have to lug it back and forth from bedroom to living room.

Pros: Great air flow. Easy to build (3 mins)

Cons: The fan does tend to lower by itself unless you tighten it well. And the front cover does not seem to be the most secured thing in the world. Don't buy if you have a animal or child that might pull it off and get chopped up.

It is loud, no doubt about it. The thing is I use the fan to help me sleep. It keeps me cool and provides white noise to block out the sounds of cats, house settling, etc. I think it's pretty great. If you're looking for a quiet fan, this isn't the one for you. It's also easy to put together - the instructions weren't even needed.
