I ordered this fan back in April 2009 and when it arrived I loved it. The first one lasted for two months and just stopped working (It would not even power on). I contacted the vendor and they promptly replaced the fan, so I was pleased with their customer service. However, after less than a month of using the new fan, it stopped oscillating. I will contact the vendor again, but this is unacceptable quality for a fan that is this expensive.

We live in south Georgia where the gnats are awful. Having a breeze on the patio makes a huge difference. This fan works quite well - nice, powerful breeze and good oscillation, and it allows us to enjoy being outside in our backyard. We also have toddlers, so I love that the fan is safe for little, curious fingers - no way a child could get hurt with this. It is sturdy and has been working very well for about a month now, even being left out in the rain. Very happy with the fan's performance, so far quite worth the money.

I purchased this fan for my deck. I live in the Midwest where we have 90 deg temps and high humidity.

It is much taller than I expected (comes up to my chest). Unfortunately only the top half of it blows, so when you are sitting at a table, it doesn't get your legs at all, which is where the mosquitoes always get me. The louver directs the air a little, but not much. I was also disappointed when it blew over in the wind.

Other than that, so far it seems pretty durable. Even on low setting, it is pretty powerful. My deck faces the south, so even though this is an outdoor fan, I doubt it will last too many years in direct sun. I did leave it out in a few heavy rain storms and it wasn't phased, so that's a good thing. I still went ahead and bought a cover for it ($35) from Lasko. The cover is like a grill cover.

Overall, I'm pretty happy so far and would recommend this fan.

This fan is wonderful. It has a small "footprint" which is what we were looking for. It is a plus that it is an outdoor fan. The only con would be that it is a heavy and difficult to move from one place to another. We had a problem with the first fan, but customer service was the best!!!

To be brief (and blunt): DO NOT BUY THIS FAN.

As stated from a previous person, our FIRST fan lasted two months then would not turn on. After pressing the reset, it would work for 5 minutes then die and not be able to be reset. I contacted LESKO online and was basically told "to bad - so sad." I went back to the store with it and got a replacement. Started having problems with the new one immediately: the lighting pannels would not turn off after holding in one of the buttons. Then the thing quit again just like the first one.

I am sooooo done with LESKO. Would not purchase anything from LESKO in the future. What a waste of time and money.

This fan is a great way to keep your outdoor living area comfortable during the hot summer days. Last year I got one fan for the gazabo where we eat and entertain, it was great. This year I got a second fan to place in the outside cooking area. The fans are decorative and with the lights at the top allows us to stay outdoors for a longer period of time. I would highly recommend this outdoor fan.

Purchased Mid-July, 2011 - I love this patio fan. The light all around the top gives a very nice light in the evenings. It's a little heavy and cumbersome when taking the fan in and out of the house for use on the patio. The fan can be left outside in the weather but I prefer to bring it in at night since no one is at home during the day. The first fan came in damaged at the base but Amazon did an excellent job of picking up the damaged item the next day, and within 2 days I had my replacement fan. The damage appeared to have been done during shipping as the box was crushed somewhat at the bottom. You will not be disappointed with this fan. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT.Lasko #4305 50" Outdoor Fan

After months of research for an "outdoor" fan that I could leave outside at all times and not have to carry inside or cover during inclimate weater, I found this Lasko outdoor fan. Finding it at half the retail price on Amazon made it all that much more worthwhile, so I purchased two. They look great (very stylish)and do exactly what I wanted them to do. Two fans are perfect for my 15' x 30' deck. Constant ocsillating airflow keeps it cool and helps keep the bugs away. Great item!

I personally have had these fans for 4 years. My uncle had bought them years before that when his air-conditioning broke, and he needed something powerful. I now use them in my vacation house which has no air-conditioning. The internal isolating feature is amazing. We have more than one and use them frequently, and never had an issue with them.

I can't speak for their durability outside since I've always used it indoors, but indoors its great! Only problem its a bit loud so don't expect to hear the person in bed next to you.

We put this fan on our deck/porch and it makes it tolerable to enjoy more of the Virginia summer. Shortly after receiving and using just a few times, we had a problem with on/off switch. Lasko customer service was great and we are now enjoying the replacement fan they sent us.
