This is a fantastic fan! It has virtually eliminated our need for air conditioning which was our goal. (Environmentally friendlier & saves $$$) It is quiet and blows a ton of air. We loved it so much we got another one for the other floor of our house.

This fan is wonderful. It definitely blows more air than the 4 other tower fans I've previously owned.
I'm recommending it to all my friends.

I have had this fan 2 days and is one of the best tower fans I have ever owned. It is quiet and blows like a whirlwind on the second speed. The nite light is neat. I would recommend this fan to everyone You won't regreat this one.

THE GOOD

*Blows very cool:: I was surprised by how well it cools off the air! I live in a S. California apartment (lots of local residences lack air-conditioning due to being sea-side) and it gets unbearably sweaty warm at times. This fan is a total life-saver and will cool you down quite well especially when it's focused directly on you and not in oscillate mode.

*Ease of portability:: I like that you can pick it up easily (well, easy enough for me anyway) by grabbing it from the handle located on the back.

*Takes up little room but yet quite powerful:: Its sleek, skinny body and base stays out of the way while still doing an awesome job of cooling the immediate area.

*Love, love, love the remote control!!:: The remote can power the fan and night light off and on, set the fan to oscillate, or change it's set position.

THE BAD

*Fan blowing range does not cover the floor:: I like to sit on the floor play-mat with my son sometimes but the fan's range does not cover us so I have to wedge the back edge of the fan's base with a hardcover book to get some floor coverage. So, if you're in a couch or standing around, it works great but not if you're on the floor.

*Not a big deal but the night light is a joke :)

OVERALL

*I'm ordering an additional one for another room. Good product!

I just replaced an Aloha fan, and spent more money to get this one. I have to say, this fan's lowest speed is more powerful than my aloha's highest. The only problem I have, is that it IS noisy. I think it could be a good thing, like a white noise effect, so the jury's out on that one until I test it out more. The other thing is that the actual fan part, where the air flows from, is the top half of the unit only. My other one, the whole length of the unit dispensed air. You can see in the picture, there is a little box within the long black box. That's where the air comes from. I used to keep the other fan on a hamper, but that doesn't work because no air comes from the bottom of the fan. Just something to consider if you are buying this. It would work great on the floor, with the way it is constructed. Remote works great, and the fan actually has a nightlight feature. Overall, I give it a high rating, since the things I listed could be considered as desireable, as long as you know about them beforehand.

Got this fan for about a month now and it's been working as advertised. Powerful fan and quiet as well. The remote is great to control the fan without me getting off my bed at night. My only concern is that the buttons on the top of the fan is a little sticky. Meaning when I push down on the top buttons, there's a few times where the button does not pop back up immediatly when I let go. Maybe I'm pushing on the buttons too hard. But so far this is a minor flaw. Bottomline: I would buy this fan again for sure.

This tower fan is the most powerful one I've used! I have not had any need to use the high setting in a 12X14ft room. The blower style fan produces a tremendous velocity & volume of air with minimal noise (air flow & mechanical). The unit looks well made (fit & finish) and can be setup in under 5 minutes (after the base and batteries are installed). The remote control device hides behind the unit when not in use. I'd buy this fan again!

As the other reviewers mentioned it pushes out a good amount of air. The noise isn't too bad.

On mine, the night light won't turn off. This is annoying but not worth returning the fan. I put tape over it instead. Hopefully the light will burn out eventually.

The controls are adequate. Four buttons: On/off, fan speed (3), oscillate on/off, night light. Same controls on the remote.
The fan remembers your speed setting, but it will always default to oscillate off.
The fan includes a little hook to keep the remote, which is a nice touch.

It was bigger than I expected, but I guess that is my fault. It does say 40 inch in the title after all.
I think the range of oscillation could be wider. You definitely get more range with a conventional fan and I think the little tower fan I just returned did better too. I would say it is getting about a 40 degree range.

This fan is awesome I upgraded from a older model and there is alot of improvement!
It shipped really fast and can't believe the power this thing puts out. It has three speeds: low, windy day and hurricane! LOL

I love this fan. The only problem is the low setting is not really low. Besides that t works perfectly and is kid safe also. Definitely recommended.
