THIS INSTALLMENT OF THE BLOODBROTHERS TRILOGY ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE NECROSCOPE SERIES ARE VAMPIRES AT THEIR BEST.THIS STORY GIVES A GREAT LOOK AT THE HELL THAT IS STARSIDE/SUNSIDE.YOU CAN FEEL THE EVIL OF STARSIDES VAMPIRES AND THEIR RAGING LUSTS ANDTHE FEAR THAT IT INSTILLS IN THE TRAVELLERS (OR GYPSYS) OF SUNSIDE.THE DEVELOPMENT OF BOTH NATHAN AND NESTOR ,TWIN SONS OF THE NECROSCOPE,THE HABITATION OF THE LAST AERIE BY THE EXILES FROM TURGOSHEIM AND THE PRESENCE OF THE BRITISH E-BRANCH MAKE THIS A HARD BOOK TO PUT DOWN.LUMLEY WRITES A STORY THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO END.BY FAR THE BEST VAMPIRE SERIES GOING.

This 2nd installment is just as good if not better than its predecessor. Lumley again triumphs in this novel of vampires and werewolves who don't get along with anyone or anything- including themselves! That makes for tons of conflict and great reading. The monsters come out at night and hunt the human travelers whom must keep on moving continually because of this nightmare world in which they live. But don't be fooled, these humans can take care of themselves pretty darn well. This is some of the best reading I have ever had the privilige of reading. And I read a lot of different kinds of books and I say this is up there with the best of them in my 30-plus years in reading. Keep up the good work Mr. Lumley!

Not many authors can keep a reader coming back book after book(aside from King,Koontz,and the likes) but Lumley captures your jugular and doesnt release it!, I have read all of the Necroscope series and loved them. This is for readers familiar with the books.... 2 Wamphyri's up!

The Necroscope series are a must read. I'm really not a lover of vampires, but the characters in this book were all great. Thanks to this series I enjoy reading about vampires. All of the books leave you wanting more. I read the last book first, which made me order all of the books so I could keep reading. If you are a real science fiction reader this series YOU CAN'T OVERLOOK!

This book provides a description of the forementioned aeries that was not seen to this point in the series. The depth of the foreboding Lumley uses while painting his picture is galvanizing. The horror of each level is only surpassed (yet amplified) by the malevolence present in the interaction of its inhabitants. When you step back and realize that this is only one (indeed the last) in a line of larger and perhaps even more hellish structures..you really begin to appreciate the world Lumley has created and the mind from which it came.

Excellent story in the Necroscope series by Brian Lumley. I do recommend that the whole series be read in order as the storyline will be much easier to follow. All of Brian Lumley's vampire stories are intrigueing and suspenseful and cater to the died-in-the wool vampire lover as well as the fantasy/sci-fi lover. Nestor's story is interesting, but I wanted more about Nathan. Too much about the world of the vampires can be too much without something human to offset it. I'm hoping the next book centers more on Nathan.

This second novle in the blood son trilogy is one out of many Brian Lumleys' necroscope books that will get inside your head and literaly vamperize your brain and haunt your dreams! This book(in my opinion)rivals Ann Rices' vampire novles by far, and will never let you down!

I thought this books was quite good, but the large print pissed me off, and the first half of the book was a retelling of blood brothers.
