(3.5 stars) The American Dream,
This review is from: The Last Affair (Paperback)
On the outside looking in, everyone would think Kevin and Lauren Richmond are living the American Dream. Both are attorneys in their early thirties living in a newly refurbished loft in downtown Atlanta. They attend one of the biggest and most prominent churches in the area. They drive the right cars and make the correct statements in public. With all of that, you'd never guess that their lives are actually a mess on the inside.
Kevin Richmond can't seem to stop sleeping with other women. Trying to get Lauren to do sexual things other then the missionary position is like pulling teeth out with pliers. To fulfill his desires, Kevin finds sex outside of the marriage anywhere he can get it. His latest endeavor is the good ole internet, utilizing as many sex websites as he can find. He thinks he's found the perfect woman to fulfill what Lauren won't, but little does Kevin know that he's made a date with the devil. Eve/ Black Venus is single, sexy, and crazy. Kevin is oblivious to the fact that he's actually already met her. He's slept with so many woman that he has no clue who she is even after she warns him. Lauren has secrets of her own too. She gave her parents hell during her teen years and in her early adult life. So when she finally does find a husband, she vowed that she wouldn't do anything but perform her wifely duties and attend church...nothing more, nothing less. Put all of this together and you have a story filled with infidelity, betrayal, and ultimately murder. The Last Affair held my attention from begin to end and was actually a quick read. Deadly Desires,
This review is from: The Last Affair (Paperback)
How many times have we done something in our past that somehow came back to haunt us in the future? Not thinking of the people we are hurting, and how it might affect them. How what we did to them would alter their future. The Last Affair by Rachee shows how one man's action can ruin several different people's lives.
Kevin Richmond is a thirty-two year old, married, successful lawyer. Even though he has a beautiful wife, he still has numerous affairs, and has no intentions of stopping. Until he meets the one woman that just might be able to stop him dead in his tracks. She holds some secrets that may cause Kevin his freedom, his life. Lauren, Kevin's wife, also a successful lawyer, suspects her husband of infidelity. She changed her ways when they first met, and hoped that Kevin would also. When she finds out the truth, she is deeply hurt, and makes choices that will bring to light the type of girl she really is. The Last Affair was a very interesting read. There was suspense from page one to the very last page. It was very climatic. Anyone that loves mysteries and suspense novels this is the book for you. Jennifer Coissiere APOOO BookClub

With Internet screen names like Black Venus, Man Eater, Sweet Temptation, Ebony Queen, and Princess Africa, Eve Kennedy, the heroine of the story, is quite the oxymoron. She is sensual, powerful, and mysterious and she loves each trait.
Kevin Richmond is not really the hero of the story, but he is the most dominant male character in Eve's quest. But there are at least three additional male characters who become victims, of sort, for Eve. Kevin's wife is very sedate sexually which prompts him to engage in extra-marital activities on a very regular basis. Eve and Kevin connect online, and seeing an opportunity to exercise his prowess, he escalates it to a rendezvous. Kevin considers himself the ultimate player and Eve just another conquest. But Kevin is the one misplaced, his wife is into 'something', and Eve is a woman with revenge in her heart. Too late Kevin is caught between a rock and a hard place, no pun intended. He realizes he has misjudged his wife, and that Eve is not an ordinary Internet hookup; this could be his last affair. THE LAST AFFAIR starts out innocently enough, but it is not long before readers realize Eve is a woman with a score to settle. The men she has selected have all had negative affects on her life and Eve takes revenge to an unorthodox level. The writing is descriptive and the plot unrelenting. The primary character has an empathetic pull on reader's senses even though this is an avenging read. Rachee takes us there, and makes a man holler. Reviewed by aNN of The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers

Rachee , the author, has a thing for writing about all the dirt a person can actually do to another. It was hard to believe that almost every male character in the book had serious issues. I am not sure what is being inferred in the book but I was disappointed in the ending of the book. What happened to the private investigator? Lauren character actually made a 360 degree turn. I wonder if the writer was in a hurry to finish the book and failed to develop the characters completely.

The Last Affair is the best erotic thriller I've read since Private Conversations by Jeffery Knuckles. There are no innocent in this story. Put your preconceived judgment aside before you begin reading this book; otherwise you may find yourself rooting for the wrong person or persons. Even the seemingly heaven bound characters in this book have a little devil in them.
The author Rachee was masterful in leading readers along the twists and turns of this story. I recommend you taking a ride on the wild side with this gifted author.

This book was a trip!,

I loved this book. I read it in less than a day. It was suspenseful and thrilling from start to finish. I love erotic thrillers and this is definitely up there with the best of them for me. I might be evil but I tell you what that Eve was nuts and for those that cheat on their wives, she is just the psycho you need to meet.

This book held my attention from the beginning to the end and goes to show that some men can be so stupid. It was very suspenseful and Eve was crazy as hell. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author and I wonder if there will be a sequel.
