Book Description

(Better Date than Never series, Book #3)

It’s Valentine’s Day and Rachel Price has a choice: Stay home and watch TV with her loveable doggy or let her best friend, Ellen, set her up on a blind date. What to do….

Ellen says the guy is a “10,” but the last guy she set her up with was a “–5.” Rachel’s been flirting with coworker Noah Peterson and she’s hoping he’s noticed. Then, she finds out Noah has big plans. Even worse, he advises Rachel to go on the blind date!

Should she play it safe and spend the Hallmark holiday with her loyal pooch, Chester, or risk another dating disaster by trying yet again for love?

If you want a story to take you away for a bit and leave you smiling in the end, then this is the story for you. This was a fabulously delicious and sweet read. I loved it and I wanted more. Just perfect!

3.0 out of 5 stars my last blind date February 27, 2012

The story was cute but it was predictable and too short. If you are looking to get away and not think for about a half hour of so, this book is for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars My blind date review February 24, 2012

The heroine really won me over and I kept my fingers crossed for her that this blind date would not end in disaster. A few laughs and a little romance this is definitely a fun Valentine story!

3.0 out of 5 stars More like a magazine story February 28, 2012
By D. Snow
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is just a short story, so there is little to no character development. It's a cute little story with a predictable plot, but it's just too quick for me. Because of how short it is, it's unrealistic, but it kept me occupied while I was riding the exercise bike at the gym.

3.0 out of 5 stars A cute "lunch" book March 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Sometimes when I am having a stressful day at work, I like to read a little at lunch. This is a very good book for that. A light hearted, cute and very predictable short story that takes less than 15 minutes to read. While a simple story the author did a good job with it.

3.0 out of 5 stars An agreeable bit of fluff that offers no surprises March 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have agree with a number of other reviewers who felt that this story was a pleasant read but didn't offer anything out of the ordinary. Yes, it's short, but I've read other stories of this length that were a real treat. Notably, the heroine of this story didn't have to overcome any significant obstacles to reach her objective (which, like so many romances, is to meet Mr. Right); she simply had to get past her aversion to going on a blind date. Once she had done that, everything was sweetness and puppydog kisses. It was all a little too saccharin for me. On the other hand, I liked the upbeat, slightly goofy perspective, and at under a buck, I'm not complaining about the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute story! March 4, 2012

I enjoyed this short romance story even though the plot was unrealistic. The characters were likeable. I downloaded this story for free. With so many free downloads out there, I would not pay for a short story such as this.

Biggest complaint is that it was way too short. After Rachel being a huge reason why Ellen and Henry found each other in the first place, I felt she deserved a longer story. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheezy
Very cheesy, it's like they took the overview from other books and made them into 1 story. Actually the overview for this book was better than the book itself.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute
I like this author's writing. I just sometimes think there could be more to the story to connect with the characters. She should write more of a full novel.
