Julie R. Neidlinger was born and raised in North Dakota. Though her degree is in art and art history, she has always considered herself as more than a visual artist, but as a "verbal" artist as well. She has been blogging since 2002, with her first book stemming from her blogging experiences. She has also worked as a reporter and freelance writer for magazines.
