I've followed Skanic since they were a local Solona Beach band. Their genuine Ska sound is a unique mix of horns and catchy lyrics you'll be singing for days. They're original and on the rise. Jodi Silstrop makes the band and if you like ska, don't miss these San Diego locals.

Wow. This is a great cd. Think of throwing the specials, the voodoo glow skulls, and the toasters in a blender (and a little crushed ice). What you get is a Skanic smoothie. Its got a great sound with distinct upbeats. You can't help but get up, bend over, and start crankin' those arms. Moon Ska Records (R.I.P.) is the greatest ska label ever. Though I must say this is my first Skanic cd, so I don't know how it stacks up to their others.

Great horns...crisp music that displays this band as exceptional.

Love the horn. Crisp sound from all in the band. These guys are definitely outside of the box, and exceptional artists.

I was suprised to see a San Diego-native ska group sign to a major ska label like moon ska(the ska version of Epitaph). I purchased the Last Call, but I was disappointed because their original release(which was only 9 songs) was soooooo much better and a lot cheaper. Eight of the nine original release songs are on the Last Call. Only a couple are of the standard of the original releases. The singers(they use more than one) sing differently but with similar arrangement. I advice this disc only to the avid Skanic fan as my self. If you are looking for a good third-wave ska group that isn't super popular, (...) buy their original release (...).

On this album, the best songs are: track 1: Eyesore(which is off the original) 2:Breed (a Nirvana cover) 3:Song #13(new song)

All the songs are decent but these are the best.
