About the Author

Dubravka Simovic was born in Novi Sad. She went to school in Subotica and Kragujevac, and graduated World Literature at the University of Belgrade (The Faculty of Philology). As a nine-year old she has received the first Literary Award, and from that time on, she is constantly in the presence of spoken and unspoken thoughts, written and unwritten words, books in her home and Public Library. She lives from “cover to cover” and turns one page every day. She is the author of three books: : Can the Truth tire us (1990) and Miodrag Todorovic in anecdotes (1994). She has read her literary works publically and her poems and stories were published in newspapers and magazines. Her latest book of poems Last Chance to catch the four seasons (2000) was published in Serbia by Narodna knji-ga publishing house.
