1. New Age Slaves 3/5 *
2. 5 Of A Kind 2/5 3. Tell Me Now 3/5 * 4. It's About Time 2/5 5. Relapse 2/5 6. Anxiety 101 2/5 7. Alaskan Thunde[...] 2/5 8. It's So Easy 2/5 9. Cut In Half 2/5 i actually own this disc with the bonus dvd...i like it for the first couple of weeks and then i just stopped listening to it for months...recently i have played it again and i actually don;t like it that much. Comparing it to their previous work it just lacks energy or any real point other then the band is breaking up and we want to make another disc for the fans...or rather make a few more bucks while we can..i really like 40 below summer, but this album just brought nothing new to the table and it just lacks in quality. the songs are repetative and Max's singing is not that good...i don't know why they stopped making songs with catchy rythms and fast paced energy, i like their slower stuff from invitation to the dance like drown but that is actually a great song, the songs on this disc are just lacking that's all.

While the 40 Below Summer we know and love is gone in name, they have resurfaced as Black Market Hero, with some new members. The best part of 40BS was Max and his awesome voice, so we haven't lost that. Check out their myspace site. There are some demos of new material. Definitely a reinvented 40BS. The last dance is a great value. The DVD is actually worth watching more than once. That is not the norm with free dvds that come with cds.

This is the last we'll see from 40 Below since the band has broken up, but this is a great way to go out. Last Dance sounds like a continuation of The Mourning After. This is a band who has stuck to their story. They don't explore different genres of music because their music is so undefinable already. If you liked The Mourning After, you'll like Last Dance. Let's hope they can somehow find it within themselves to reunite (with a new bass player if necessary) and continue to make music like this because nobody else can do this.
