This review is from: The Last to Die: Ronald Turpin, Arthur Lucas, and the End of Capital Punishment in Canada (Paperback)
The book told the story of the last hangings in Canada and about the criminal scene in Toronto in the 50-60's. I learned the sad truth about the murder of my uncle.

This review is from: The Last to Die: Ronald Turpin, Arthur Lucas, and the End of Capital Punishment in Canada (Kindle Edition)
A methodical - occasionally gruesome - exploration of capital punishment in Canada, passionately and painstakingly argued by its author. Thoroughly compelling and deserves to be widely read by "the neighbours" south of the Niagara Falls. One of the best books I've read on an otherwise unpalatable subject.
