Editorial Reviews

Product Description

(12'' Vinyl EP) In this digital age of disposable razors, disposable relationships and disposable music, anything authentic seems more precious than ever. Discovering the indigo denim of an old Levi's jacket or an arrowhead in your backyard are some of the joys untold. Biters are a rock and roll band hailing from Hatecity and upon first listen you know they are the real deal. Steeped in rock tradition, this young group blends the alchemic mixture of louder than Hendrix volume with a heaping elixir of pure brutality. If Tom Petty was assaulted by the Sex Pistols while Stiv Bator was pouring the drinks, that scene would approximate the sound of the Biters. Their music winks and nods at tradition but reveals glimmers of future. Biters will take a chunk out of your ass and heart leaving you wanting more. -Nico Constantine

Biters supported the entire Social Distortion tour Fall 2012 and Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong cites Biters as an influence of young new music he listens to. See them on tour throughout 2013.

Also available as a CD EP.

Review

During my time on at MOKB, I've awarded the Best Rock Band in America title to, in order: Marah, The Hold Steady, the Avett Brothers and The Black Keys. Mere minutes into The Biters' sweat-soaked set at The Jackalope on Saturday, I knew the belt was destined to change hands again... Ladies and gentlemen, the Best Rock Band in America. The Biters. --My Old Kentucky Blog

More 70's glitter rock from one of the best "new" bands out there. This 4 song Ep is super short for the price but its got some good tunes on it. It's not my favorite biters so far but it's a solid collection of tunes. This collection is a little less cheap trick and a little more thin lizzy to me. That's not a bad thing. It's just different.
If you were going to get just one biters record, I would start with the double EP offering, "It's Ok To Like Biters." Then, move on to this. Or, just download the mp3's for $4. If you need the physical product. Click order and enjoy. It's a good listen. Its just not my favorite.

As a good friend of Tuk and the BITERS boys I knew I could expect the goods on their latest EP and they definitely don't disappoint. From '10 to now, BITERS blend of Bon Scott-era AC/DC,T. Rex, Thin Lizzy, and golden-era Bowie and Alice Cooper has been like a soundtrack for my life and Last of A Dying Breed just makes another perfect installment of power-pop punk rock n' roll madness until we're all fortunate enough for more killer music from a band that, while they may be some of the last of their breed, are waving the flag of real rock n' roll high and proud.

These Atlanta boys shamelessly wear their influences on their sleeves but if you like classic rock you'll love it! So Many Nights is like Thin Lizzy came back from the dead and pulled on some skinny jeans. Hell is for Babies gets stuck in your head with it's glam rock magic, like a T-Rex song. They love their 1970's and if you can get into the vibe you will too.
On vinyl it's especially rad.
If you don't like classic rock this 4 song EP is not for you, you;ll find it banal and tired.
