Carrie Akre's third solo release, '...Last the Evening,' is another beautiful offering, from one of my favorite artists. I cannot think of an artist who strikes me more solidly, than Carrie does.

You will not read anything about Carrie's work, which does not mention her incredible voice. Carrie is a gifted vocalist. My first taste of Carrie's music, was a song I heard on the radio; her voice, and the way she used her voice, got my attention.

Carrie puts her whole heart and spirit into her music, and the presentation of her music.

Carrie's 3rd solo CD is a beautiful progression from her first two CDs. Both her writing and singing are strong and straight from the heart. She is an incredible vocalist who doesn't have to scream or do vocal gymnastics to get her message across. Unfortunately, she is Seattle's best kept secret. She really deserves a much wider audience. She's a true talent and this CD illustrates that talent.
