"Last Flight" is the story of a veteran airline captain on his final trip before mandatory age-60 retirement. High over the North Atlantic, he is confronted with a sudden emergency that reduces his modern sophisticated jetliner into 1940's tecnology. All his years of experience are called upon in an attempt to save his passengers, crew, and the woman he loves.

I found Tom Chase's Last Flight to be well written with an easy conversational style suggestive of the author's New England roots. Technical aspects of the pilot's trans-atlantic responsibilities and cockpit electronics seem excessive early in the book but proves valuable as the plot concludes. Upon finishing the novel I felt I had met several very interesting peple.
