Why is this deja-vu all over again?, September 4, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: One Last Kiss (Fear Street Sagas #14) (Paperback)
*sigh*
Okay, I don't know why, but practically every Fear Street Sagas has the same storyline. "What is it?" you ask. Well, I answer "Gee, why is there always a poor girl who always gets the oppurtunity to move into a mansion, and finds something evil or someone evil in it?"
I am talking about "House of Whispers, Forbidden Secrets, The Hidden Evil, Dance of Death, The Awakening Evil, Chamber of Fear, Faces of Terror", and this one, "One Last Kiss".
Do you see what I mean? This getting really dumb. These authors who work for R.L. Stine should stop copying each other, or else this series will flop!
I really hope the next one is better, "Door of Death". It doesn't involve a girl moving into a bigger house. But with this series, you can never tell.
Anyway, another vampire story this month, matching up with "The Thirst." A girl falls in love with a Fear, who always wears black and never is seen in daylight. Hmmm, let me think...
She is devoted to killing the person who killed her mother when she was a baby. Do you think maybe you shouldn't move into a house where there's no one around at daylight, and the owners dissapear at night for a meal? Real mystery, huh?
These heroins are such airheads. Maybe if thet'd wake up and see what they're doing is leading them right into another trap. Anyway, it has an okay climax, but the end... *sigh*, no comment.

An Abslutely Exquisite Romance, September 28, 2004
This review is from: One Last Kiss (Fear Street Sagas #14) (Paperback)
Wow...what can I say for this book? I picked it up on a whim at K-Mart and it has gone on to become my favorite book of all time. As another reviewer said, I didn't know it was possible to fall in love with a fictional character...my, my Trevor Fier is quite a character indeed.
Not to be too much of a reviewer, I must say the romance in this book is absolutely and utterly sublime. There is such a fire between Eleanor and Trevor that I had to read scenes again and again, just out of sheer love for the romance of this book. You couldn't ask more for to sweep you off your feet--a dashing vampire with "midnight hair that touched his shoulders." This I honor above all romance. Kudos to you RL for creating such a flawless and passionate romance between two wonderful characters...though the ending is horrid in context, it is none the more appropriate and exquisite.
