5.0 out of 5 stars You should be FIRST in line to buy this CD, April 24, 2003

Ok, disregarding the cheesiness of the title for this review, this CD really is a good buy. The Conversation blends, powerful, distorted guitar riffs with catchy melodic vocals. And the diversity of the drum beats, of course, bring it all together. The lyrics, unlike most lyrics in mainstream rock these days, are actually meaningful if you listen to them. But don't misunderstand me, these guys aren't anywhere near mainstream. They've got a definite punk/indie influence but you can't really put this band in a specific genre of music. Not slow and whiny enough to be emo, not fast paced enough to be punk, these guys fall perfectly in the middle. If you've ever heard of the Jealous Sound, that's who these guys remind me of, but they're a little harder. If you're looking for powerful vocals you can sing along too matched with guitar sounds that are impossible to get out of your head, buy this album!!! It rules.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review of The Conversation, November 16, 2003
By

If you like Glassjaw, Hey Mercedes, or Knapsack, this CD should be in your player. It combines influences from all directions in a melodic and artistic album. This band was on the verge of stardom when they came by our local venue. The band has since broken up, but the vocalist is continuing solo.
