Book Description

December 15, 2008
This is the story of the original American Dream, what being a man used to be, and the extremes that used to be celebrated in America. It is a story of the son of an Italian immigrant from Chicago and a Daughter of the American Revolution from the farm. It is about growing up in both cultures and the exciting extremes to be found in both. It is a story of going from rags to riches and from working in a foundry as a laborer to rising to the executive boardroom in a global business with world class achievements. This book is about the extremes America can offer and it takes you from private jets and yachts to being attacked by bears and sleeping under a rock in the Arctic Circle. From working down on the farm to working with the Pentagon and White House. From high powered business executives and hundreds of millions of dollars to the helpless at Dixon State Mental Hospital and homeless shelters. This book takes you from a tiny rural town in down state Illinois to Rome, Paris, Shanghai, Mexico City, London, and Bangkok. And from the luxury of a Doges Palace in Venice to sailing through hurricane force winds and wading in a putrid swamp hunting wild boar. Those of us that have had the privilege of living the real American dream have an obligation to keep it alive and remind others why this country has been so great and to try and to keep those experiences alive for future generations. That is the goal of this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars It Doesn't Get More Authentic, February 16, 2009
By

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Last Man to Live the Real American Dream (Paperback)
This book is an inspiration to anyone who looks at life with an experienced eye, and wants to live it to the limit. In a word, it's exceedingly authentic. The history, the real life stories, and Rossi's ability to bring the reader to the wisest of conclusions, is what makes this book a compelling read. Try to put it down. It will take a crying baby or a fire in the kitchen to pull you away. But best of all, if you have fiends or family that you have wishes for, like wishing they could grow and mature about the real issues of life, you will want to pass a copy on for each of them. But don't take the title too seriously. Take the book seriously, and you just might be the next person to earn that title.

5.0 out of 5 stars As informed and informative as it is inspiring and inspirational, February 7, 2009
This review is from: The Last Man to Live the Real American Dream (Paperback)
'The American Dream' comes in as many variations as there are Americans who aspire to live their own definitions of 'the good life'. Randal C. Rossi is the son of an Italian immigrant father and a mother who was one of the 'Daughters of the American Revolution'. His memoir takes the reader along a true 'rags to riches' story that began on a farm and lead him to associate with members of the White House and the Pentagon. From a nigh shift laborer at a foundry to becoming the Group President of an international corporation with hundreds of employees and millions of dollars in annual sales, Randy Rossi experienced, embodies, and represents why America has become a beacon for men and women around the world seeking to improve their lives and the prospects for their children for personal fulfillment and success. Much of the economic landscape has changed and evolved with the passing of time and the introduction of new technologies, customs, and events both domestic and international, but the message of "The Last Man To Live The Real American Dream" remains constant -- American Dreams live on and it is possible for anyone to achieve their own aspirations with hard work, a little luck, and a whole lot of perseverance. Highly recommended reading that is as informed and informative as it is inspiring and inspirational.
