Of all the illustrous recording artists from Sun Records (Elvis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Charlie Rich) who would've thought that Jerry Lee would indeed, be the last man standing? A National treasure who has always marched to his own drummer. The Killer rocks (with a little help from his friends). The aura of respect and admiration that eminates from the guest artists who consider it a privilege to perform with such a legend is obvious, especially John Fogerty.

Jerry will always be the legend and the Killer. He is truly the last man standing.
I really enjoyed audio CD that comes in this package. Songs are live cuts from recent performances. Jerry's version of Lucille is just great. I have always enjoyed his take on this song and have been blasting this recent version in my car and at home.

About DVD...I must admit that my favorite Jerry was when he was in his 40s and 50s.
He had the blues, the country and the rocknroll. He had the heartache to portray it in his songs and he still had the fire to give it some hell on the piano. This DVD is for the fans - people who love JLL, who follow him, who respect him and who admire him. I think it was a great effort to prove the point of the Last Man Standing, but at the same time when I finished watching this DVD i had a bit of a nostalgic feeling not willing to admit that the years are going by...

Last Man Standing If you are a Killer fan like me this is a must have LIVE dvd. Jerry Lee at 71 still shows he is the master of Boogie Woogie piano. He sings 28 live songs with a variety of stars from Kid Rock to Tom Jones through Willie Nelson and John Fogerty plus others. Jerry Lee outshines them all and the respect they have for him is obvious to see. Buy this DVD it is a truly great show you will enjoy

After buying the stand alone DVD, I'd purchased a copy of this CD/DVD Last Man Standing combo release in hopes that it would include some of the soundtrack, instead of another release of old hits. I got lucky! The CD contains all (7) of the Jerry Lee solo performances from the DVD (see the solo DVD for my detailed review of the concert), plus one additional song, Lucille, for a total of 8 live performances.

If you enjoyed the DVD, you'll love this CD, especially the stand-out performaces of Roll Over Beethoven, Chantilly Lace and the unreleased Lucille, one of my favorite Little Richard/Everly Brothers cuts. Even the country weapers, That Lucky Old Sun and Don't Put No Headstone on My Grave, are good!

What else can one say than The Killer is still Alive and Kicking. Awesome Show!

High quality video production, That really showcase the Killer's prowess at the piano, and oh what a piano! It's a flaming creation reminisent of 50's custom cars. It's amazing to watch his hands, they seem to have drive unto themselves. This dvd is a must have for any JLL fan. It will not disappoint.

Jerry Lee is still the killer. His can still make you want to get up and dance. He is the leader of the band and can Rock and Roll even better than before. He has aged with grace and has a very sexy sound. I love his music.

I've been a fan Of Jerry Lee for 30 years. This live cd and DVD is enough to make anyone a fan, even at this late date in his life. You'll wish you had checked him out years ago. Get "Live at the Star Club" if you want to hear him when he was 29. R. Lee, Rochester, NY

The album, "Last Man Standing" is a 2 CD set. The second CD doesn't play and is faulty. I've contacted the seller, but at this point haven't heard back from him.
