5.0 out of 5 stars Very under-rated, December 4, 2004
This review is from: The Last Marshal (DVD)
A whole lot of people haven't heard about this movie because I don't think it was in the movie theatre. It was probably one of those directed straight to video movies. Anyways, you'll be pleasantly surprised with this movie. It's very entertaining and I like Constance Marie LOL. The point is the action is pretty good and the revelations that surface make the movie go. Scott Glenn did a great job too despite his sharp tongued character but we like our heroes with a mean streak because you know the bad guys won't win. I recommend this movie for anyone that wants to see something new. You'll be quite surprised!

4.0 out of 5 stars Uneven but worthwhile., February 21, 2007

Although cliches abound, this is an interesting film.
The acting of Randall Batinkoff, was quite subtle and appealing. Scott Glenn was focused and consistent with his characterisation. The direction by Mike Kirton, his first effort, was quite acceptable and his extensive stunt background was apparent. The score, editing and enthusiastic performances by the rest of the cast, many of whom obviously studied their roles, were noteworthy. Glenn's softening was blessedly unconvincing. There was enough torture and violence to warrant a "gratuitous" rating.

5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best movies that nobody has ever heard of, April 29, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: The Last Marshal (DVD)
I never heard of this movie until I found out that Constance Marie was in it and I'm a big fan of hers. She did a great job as "Duputy Marshal Rosa Sanchez." As for Scott Glenn, his character is pretty like the ones he portrayed in "Backdraft" and "Training Day" except this time he was on the right side of the law playing "Marshal Cole McCleary." William Forsythe did a good job as the rich German guy, the guy who tagged along with Marie and Glenn did a decent job, and the cop who gives up swearing and says "Honey Sugar Iced Tea!" was funny just based on that phrase. This movie is categorized as an action/western but you don't see as much action as you do in an Eastwood movie or a Stallone movie but all-around it's a good movie. I recommend this movie for any Constance Marie fan or anybody that wants to see something that they've never seen before. It's a very good movie that nobody has ever heard of so check it out because it's the real deal. You'll be like "Man, this is regarded as one of the best movies that nobody has ever heard of and now that I've seen it, it's one of the best movies period!" Don't miss out on this talent.
