I read both of Romi's books and I have to say that it's been awhile since I read a book that I truly could not put down!! I laughed out loud...i cried out loud...and I loved every minute of it. I am widowed now..its been five years , and it takes a lot for me to truly be happy right now. But your books, I've read both, truly gave me those true hours of joy I haven't felt in a very long time. I can't wait for the third book and was upset that I couldn't get it already....so hurry the heck up....I need these laughs and tears. Love you as an author...it's truly a gift to make people all over the world want to be your friend. Good luck writing...I will be sitting on the edge of my seat....waiting for the next adventure. I finished this boom and the first in less than 24 hours. It is witty, heartwarming, and sad. I appreciate the growth of the character and can't wait to read the third book!

In this book two of the series, Romi forges on with a bridezilla sister nipping at her heals, perpetually disappointed parents shaking their heads in constant disapproval, a height challenged boss with more than his share of shortcomings which Romi must compensate for, and an uncanny knack for fanning the interests of perhaps the most unattainable men possible. She is even funnier and possibly more endearing in all her imperfectly perfect glory and you will feel for her as she lays her heart bare and offers her grand gesture in a manner that would most certainly reap Cleopatra's approval.

I read the first book Year of the Chick, which I got for free through Amazon. I pretty much only read free books on my Kindle, but I loved Romi's first book so much, I immediately purchased this one, Last-Minute Love, 'cause I just had to see what happened next. I enjoyed this one even more than the first one, and can't wait to see what her third installment in the series will have. I hope it comes out soon!!

After having enjoyed the first book in this series I was excited to read this one. I need to admit that towards the beginning of the book I was a little confused - I don't want to say too much as I don't want to spoil the stories for anyone. I felt the transition from the end of the first book to the start of the second book left a lot of missing areas I had questions about. Other than that, I truly enjoyed the story. I'm hoping some day that Romi will find a love that makes her heart sing! Even better, I hope she'll find a local love! That her parents will approve of. And become friends with her sister. And.. well, I grew attached to Romi from reading these 2 books, and I just want good things for her! To me, that's a sure sign of a good story - when I'm still thinking of the characters days after I've turned the last page.

I just read Year of the Chick and Last-Minute Love--all within 24 hours. If Book Three was out, I'd be starting it right now, and it's past one am. Can't wait for the 3rd installment.

I am Canadian, and here are some strange personal facts:

-I wore denim-top-to-bottom in high school (there is a direct inverse relationship between how much denim I wore and how few tongues were launched down my throat at school dances...or anywhere in high school at all).

-A homeless lady in New York once told me "You're just a bitch on vacation with no money!"

-I always hated those insufferable couples who would cuddle and make out on the subway...until I became half of one. But now I'm back to being none of one so I hate them again.

The thing I love most in the world is writing. When I first started publishing on Amazon it was my "crazy" humour side ("The Book of Awful," and "NOT Love Poems For Real Life"). Since then, everything has focused on my "Year of the Chick" series, because it's the most important thing to me in the world right now. I guess that would tend to happen, when your writing is inspired by real life, including all the satisfaction and risks that come from that.

My "Year of the Chick" series can be described as "edgy rom-com," which helps me account for the blunt conversations and mortifying family moments in the book ;-).

Book 3 in the "Year of the Chick" series will be written and released in 2013; until then I have some adventures to go on!
