Brilliant Adaptation
This graphic novel is an excellent adaptation of Cooper's most renown work. Thomas, Kurth, and Medri use Cooper's original text when possible, which means the reader will have to think to understand what is happening, although the art will help. At the end there is a bonus comic that is an adaptation of "The Deerslayer," another Cooper novel with Natty Bumpo as the main...

GOOD SERVICE
I WAS SURPRISED WHEN THIS BOOK TURNED OUT TO BE VERY ABRIDGED AND RETURNED IT. HOWEVER, AMAZON HANDLED EVERYTHING VERY WELL.

This graphic novel is an excellent adaptation of Cooper's most renown work. Thomas, Kurth, and Medri use Cooper's original text when possible, which means the reader will have to think to understand what is happening, although the art will help. At the end there is a bonus comic that is an adaptation of "The Deerslayer," another Cooper novel with Natty Bumpo as the main character. Reading the graphic novel inspired me to purchase the complete "Leatherstocking Tales," all five of the novels featuring Natty Bumpo.
