This is the remix cd for "Last Nite" that is a remake of The Strokes track off their first cd that mixes Blondie's "Heart Of Glass" to great effect. The original version(3:54) is more musically Blondie than the other mixes. The This Is Radio ElectroClash-Williamsburg Edit(3:45) and the I Like That Mix by Count Caligula (5:40) don't feature most of the vocals but are electro in mixes. The final mix is the incredible Manhattan Clique mix(6:05) that is a thing of genius. This is a true work of putting the ice cold Debbie Harry type vocals with a NRG type of house mix. The lyrics, vocals, music and whole being of the song come together in this mix. This is her best track ever.A++++++

I applaud VC for her creativity in making this, but when you consider the current trend of things like this automatically getting critical acclaim, you have to wonder if she just wanted free acclaim. It's a good song, although not as unique as it's made out to be and not very memorable either. I suppose it's always "nice" to have an artist try new genres and stuff, but it's the weakest of all her singles.
"Last Nite" was a huge hit in Europe, where it was released - but compared to her other songs, it just doesn't make any impact. I'd prefer her to stick with sentimental pop ballads, thunderous unique dynamite breakup songs & echoing club anthems. She's had a pretty good streak to this point.

Vitamin C hits the spot with her 6th single!!!,

Vitamin C (real name Colleen Fitzpatrick) may sound like a new name in the music business, but in truth, shes been around for quite some time! Before picking up the name "Vitamin C", she had been in quite a few bands and one successful pop-punk band "Eves Plum" in the early 90's. Now, after 2 albums, and 5 singles under the title of Vitamin C, Colleen releases a 6th single with a different record company, V2 Records. The song "Last Nite" remakes and mixes an all time classic "Last Nite" orignaly by The Strokes, and the smash hit "Heart Of Glass" by Blondie. Thoughout the song, Colleen coos "Heart Of Glass"'s "ooohooohwoaoh"s and sings the lyrics of The Strokes "Last Nite". The single features three new remixes that set even more of a dance feel to the song than the orginal cut! Even though Colleen switches back to her old rock roots in this one, fans of Vitamin C (like myself) will surely enjoy the new single anyway. If Vitamin C is new to you, than i would recommend this single too you also, so go out and buy!

I was waiting for her new release - I am not disappointed -The beat is very good for dancing etc. She is a talented person and is a peformer that the teenagers can look up to - Going to College was a plus for this performer - As she said, her father set rules and one was going to College. The record is a good one - I wish they would start playing this on radio stations -

Truly Awful,

This type of thing oughtn't to be allowed. What, exactly, was she shooting for here? One cannot possibly hope to ever understand what or who this woman is targeting. Is she aimed at the grammar-school set, or is she aimed at disenfranchised gay male teens(a big chunk of her audience), or is she aimed at the pathetic now-in-their-30s guys who lusted after her in Eve's Plum? Does it matter? With ideas this poor, the execution hardly matters. For what it's worth, she uses the four or five notes of her range well, although without ANY trace of any sort of anything genuine underneath. Maybe that's the idea here. I don't know. I've since heard that V2 have dropped her. She does not appear on their website's list of artists, so I guess we'll have to wait until Ms. Fitzpatrick gets the WB network reality series about 20th class reunions and goes back to Cedar Ridge HS in Old Bridge NJ to see her again. By the way, she lies about her age. She was born in 1969. She's FAR too old for this sort of thing.
