I am a "Twilight" fanatic and just finished reading "The Last Princess." I loved this story. It was a real page turner, completely engaging and I couldn't put it down. The relationship between Vivienne, the sixteen year old heroine and Lailoken, her "immortal" boyfriend is tantalizing, romantic. Lailoken is so sweet and powerful, like Edward, and I couldn't wait `til they actually meet in the other world.

I loved the zany characters like Eleanor, wicked Aoibell, Sema, the psychic and the Master of the Souls. I couldn't read fast enough during Vivienne's adventures with Chris on her mad dash to England. Also I loved the magic and spell crafting in the Misty Isle and their way of life. It was so vivid like the forest in the "Avatar" movie. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I think it would make a great movie. After I finished, I went to the web site and listened to the audio book samples where the characters sprang to life with full audio effects. I am not generally an audio book person but this sounded so great, I 'm planning on downloading it too. I definitely would highly recommend this book to anyone who loved the "Twilight Saga", "The Lord of the Rings," or "Harry Potter." It's a bewitching read!

This is a wonderful book. It is well researched and keeps you reading!! I cannot wait for the next one. It brings the old world to light and makes it real!

I started reading this book before bed time and ended up staying up much later because I didn't want to put it down! The great thing was that the main character is a girl, who has all the charm and innocence and ends up being a force to be reckoned with! There is an alternate universe that is beautiful, magical and completely engrossing. I was caught up in the whole ride from the first page! I'm a big Harry Potter fan and Twilight, and now I love having a female heroine! The worlds are beautifully realized, the descriptions are just lush and expansive. I also love the wild characters we meet, all filled with their own very real emotions and drama, likes and dislikes, mistakes and victories and all interwoven within two worlds.
I really can't say enough of the fun I had reading this book. It kept me just turning pages and on the edge of my seat. It's definitely appropriate for tweens, teens and all fantasy fiction fans. I can't wait for the next one, but in the meantime, I'm going to read it again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!
