This album far exceeded my expectations. Ronnie sounds great and the music is good. It left me wanting more and let's hope she continues to record. There is a very nice Christmas song to close the album.

Great CD by A True Original,

Ronnie's voice is one of the true gems of rock and roll. Her work with Phil Spector is legendary, as is her later work with the E Street Band and Joey Ramone. This CD updates the context with gritty, modern rock arrangements and they are a great fit for her voice. Her give and take with her friend Keith Richards on "Work Out Fine" is perfect.

Great Comeback For Ronnie,

Ecellent, quality comeback. This album rocks and Ronnie hasn't lost anything in her singing or way of delivering. Patti Smith contributes very effectively. Good collection of songs that belongs in your music library by the original bad girl of rock.

Has Ronnie even heard the original sah loh nay?,

Ronnie? sweetheart? have you ever heard mickey lee lane's original version of sah loh nay? It is SUPER transparent that you've only heard the Detroit Cobras version. You used the cobra's arrangement to a T! There is NOTHING of the original in the song. Everything about it is verbatim. how kooky! Guess what else? the cobras released it in the late 90s. They also have an eerily similar album cover on their record that has the song on it.shameeeeeeeeeeeee on you. i bet you didn't throw the cobras a single bone for ripping them off. |
